Thank you for being a part of the second season-ticket sellout in UCF Football history. With your support, the Bounce House remains one of the most difficult places to play in the country! Over the past five seasons the Knights are 28-2 when playing in front of Knight Nation, including their perfect 6-0 record at home this season.

With the announcement of UCF going into the Big 12 Conference demand for season tickets has never been higher! The season-ticket wait list currently sits at more than 1,500 tickets requested. With the current demand for season tickets and excitement for upcoming seasons, we have begun evaluating our position among current Big 12 programs. The current revenue total UCF receives from ticket sales and annual giving ranks at the bottom of our new league. To be competitive in recruiting student-athletes, coaches, and improving the fan experience and amenities in our new league, we need to close that gap.
All season tickets can be paid in full or through an interest free payment plan.
  • Renew in November: 8-month payment plan billed through June 30, 2022
  • Renew in December: 7-month payment plan billed through June 30, 2022
  • Renew in January: 6-month payment plan billed through June 30, 2022
Your 2022 season tickets can be renewed online through your UCF Account Manager, by calling our ticket service team at 407-823-1000, or by scheduling an appointment with a sales representative.

***UCF AD Finalist Group emerging***

A few more names have surfaced that I feel comfortable in posting.

I posted about Nunez and Selmon late last night. There are at least three more sitting ADs in play.

Eddie Nunez - AD, New Mexico
Doug Gillin - AD, Appalachian State
Mark Alnutt - AD, Buffalo
Beth Goetz - AD, Ball State
Zac Selmon - Sr. Associate AD, Oklahoma

There is at least one more "secret candidate," possibly two. The "wow" hire I referred to.

Something to watch (coaching staff)

This is shaping up to be a crazy coaching carousel and there will be many ripple effects. Texas Tech got an early head start by recently naming Baylor assistant Joey McGuire as its new head coach to replace Matt Wells.

Anyway, McGuire's roots in coaching are in Texas high school football as the longtime head coach at Cedar Hill HS in Dallas County. Matt Rhule hired him out of the HS ranks to join him at Baylor.

UCF co-OC and QB coach GJ Kinne is originally from the Dallas area and his father has been a longtime HS coach in Texas (currently at Buna HS), so there are ties there.

Anyway, Kinne has been rumored to be one of several names under consideration to be OC/QB under McGuire at Texas Tech.

Nothing will be settled right away as interim HC Sonny Cumbie is also in play to keep the job. There have been other names mentioned as well.

Inevitable rule change to keep an eye on

"No originally ineligible receiver shall be or have been more than three yards beyond the neutral zone until a passer throws a legal forward pass that crosses the neutral zone. A player is in violation of this rule if any part of his body is beyond the three-yard limit."

There's some legitimate traction being gained on changing this rule to state one yard instead of three yards. If changed the RPO as you know and love in NCAA football might become almost irrelevant. In simple terms: In modern NCAA football what's happening is offensive lineman have three yards that they can charge towards linebackers. This essentially forces the LB's to play the run every time. In turn, the QB pulls the ball in and throws a pass. This is a changeable rule a lot of coaches in the NCAA feel can help mitigate against an offense friendly rule book right now.

This isn't a new idea it's been floated for several years now but I'm picking up that this seems inevitable. For the record, it's one yard in the NFL.

OT: Question for those that sell extra FB tickets routinely

I just renewed for next year and bought 2 extra tickets in the Cabana. I'll be selling those 2 off next year to offset my softball lot donation.

For those that do this, did you have good luck getting rid of your tix? If I can average $75/ticket for the year I'd call it a good investment but wonder how the market was this past year for those doing what I'm doing. TIA

***Updated: Transfer OL Bless Harris decommits from UCF, flips to FSU***

atzofovwrfhvr0nb3bsl

Bless Harris, an offensive tackle who began his collegiate career at Lamar, announced his transfer commitment to UCF on Thursday.

A native of New Orleans and graduate of St. Augustine High School, the 6-foot-4 Harris redshirted during his first year at Lamar in 2018. He played in 10 games and started two during 2019 as a redshirt freshman. He was promoted to Lamar's starting left tackle as a sophomore in 2020 before his season was cut short due to injury.

Harris is set to graduate from Lamar later this year and he will enroll at UCF this coming January. He will have at least two seasons of eligibility remaining.

As for what put UCF on top, Harris texted, "Atmosphere, the culture and team overall needs."

The opportunity is certainly there as UCF's starting five on the offensive line features three seniors between left tackle Marcus Tatum, left guard Cole Schneider and right tackle Samuel Jackson, though Schneider and Jackson have the option to pick up an additional year of eligibility due to COVID.

Harris was also considering South Florida, Tulane, Western Kentucky, Virginia and UTSA.

UCFSports.com hopes to connect with Harris later today for more on his decision.
