If we want to make the tournament, we have limited opportunities. We play Houston, Cincy, Memphis and Wichita as Qua 1 games. We have to win some of those.

A W against Michigan will be so huge since we lost the chance of beating Florida State.

Easy schedule: Louisville and Georgia Tech at home. If we play Cincinnati and SMU, we will get them at home too. No other AAC team can beat us on the road (except Tulsa).

Looks like a good chance for a 13-0 season with NY 6 bowl if nothing catastrophic happens.

I'm sure Brandon will eventually put something similar together with much more information, but since we already got one guy on the board I figured why not get a thread going with our top prospects all in one place. I definitely leaving some out, but these are all names I've seen thrown around at some point.

There is considerable buzz that Gus Malzahn may have zeroed in on his GJ Kinne replacement:

Chip Lindsey, a former offensive coordinator for Malzahn at Auburn (2017-18) and recent Troy head coach (2019-21). He was just dismissed by the Trojans after finishing with losing records in each of his three seasons.

Earlier this month, he was reportedly hired - but not officially announced - to join Willie Taggart's FAU staff (co-OC/QB). It appears he could be on the move again.

Went back and researched the UF losses to see correlations. Some keys to the game IMO:

1. Run the damn ball: in all of their losses (or close games) the opposing teams pounded the rock 25+ times. Bowser, Jrich, and MAR will get a heavy workload. I hope the oline is hitting the sled all week in preparation.

2. Make Emory beat us: thank god AR is sitting this one out, EJ is average and if we keep everything in front of us and make EJ have 10-12 play drives, that only benefits us.

3. Front 7 must dominate: building off point 2, the front 7 has got to dominate. Gotta get home to Jones and pressure him and also control the running game and get them into 3rd and longs.

What say you? I feel this game is manageable but will take a clean, high effort game from everyone on the team.

It is going to be a big time game Friday between Cincy and Bama. We will see how legit Cincy is when they face Bama.

I know we are out of American soon and this win won't do good to the conference.

But in the Big 12, Cincy could be our main rivalry going forward. Should we root for them?

Such a weird season finale. It almost felt like Disney execs watched Batman and Robin and wanted to do that, but 400 times worse. They did the same thing with Falcon and The Winter Soldier but nowhere near this level of bad.

Does UCF still have normal tickets on sale? I go through UCF Athletics link and it goes to Ticketmaster and it is all resale tickets.

I was hoping to buy Club Seats, but they are like $400 each.
Am I missing something, or just too late to the party?

I like to see what edits are done to wiki pages overtimes to see how thoughts and opinion changes.

This is now at the top of the page above the table of contents. For years, there was a blerb near the bottom about the criticism about the mythical national championship.

"Unlike other NCAA divisions and subdivisions, the NCAA does not officially award an FBS football national championship, nor does it sanction a playoff tournament to determine such a champion on the field."

I truly believe UCF has been the champions of a legit playoff that includes all 10 conference champions.

Went to Busch Gardens today…

Had 3 people congratulate me on the UCF win (was wearing a UCF hat)…

My response…

“Thanks. We had a pretty down year so it was nice to end it all on a fun in-state game. At the end of the day, we don’t care too much about it other than for checking Gator ego.”

Turns out one of the guys was a gator and said “that answer is why I have a feeling UCF is the real deal.”

Not bad, but it was a bit much. Seemed like a weird way to close out the Spiderman and Stark storylines for the MCU.

Going with GJ. He was a recruiting and offensive assistant......does that open a door for KZ?

Count me surprised that Fanatics had ZERO merch available before or after the game. I felt like you used to see bowl victory t-shirts in years past, but nothing this year. I saw one of the merch tents near the south end zone prior to the game. It had a really long line, but I was able to take a few photos of the offerings. It appears some of these items are available on the Gasparilla Bowl website.
