Ames Iowa - SpringHill Suites Reservation (offering to UCF traveler)

I thought I was going to get to Iowa State for the game but it just isn't going to work out with travel/logistics.

I booked a room at the Spring Hill Suites in Ames from Oct 18-20 (Fri - Sun). If anyone is interested, I'm happy to give you my reservation (I booked it on points). I thought I'd check before I cancelled it since I'm sure hotel rooms there are pretty scarce. I think you'll just have to put your credit card down for incidentals when you check in. Maybe buy me a beer sometime else in exchange.

@Brandon I'll give you first right of refusal!

Current State of the program/updated record predictions

For those that are saying don't overreact to just one game. While I agree to an extent, what would be the conversation currently be around the program if we didn't have that miraculous comeback against TCU and were 2-2 with an 0-2 Big 12 record.

I never could of thought our defense could of gotten worse from last year but it has and its not even close. The pass rushing concerns were valid as Shedeur was pressured the least all season against us but the most glaring problem is the secondary. Everyone talks about how much the recruits love Addison and that's the main selling point he has keeping him around. Why does that matter when everyone he has brought in has been terrible. Brandon Adams had so much hype within the program going into the year and I don't know if anyone regressed more than him.

Looking at our schedule I see us going probably 7-5 in what we thought was a wide open year up for grabs with a more favorable conference schedule.

Gus is going to have to make some major shakeups in the offseason or I think he's going to lose the fanbase quickly and the national outlook on the program will start trending the wrong way.

D2 Exit

First game this year as I’ve moved out of town, but was the exit path new for those coming from D2 lot? I needed to go south towards 50/408 and would normally turn right, but was forced to exit campus by the fire station and had to go all the way into Oviedo and then work my way across backroads… took me nearly 45 min to make it back to 50…. Why can’t we turn right out of that lot?

UF tickets for sale - SOLD

I now have friends coming in to South FL next weekend and my wife leaves for 3 weeks on 10/8 and she really doesn’t want me going next weekend. It is just not worth the fight at this point.

I have 2 tickets
Sec 49, Row 81, seats 26 and 27

These are isle seats in the UCF section.

With Ticketmaster fees etc they cost me just over $100 each. Will sell at cost. OBO.

If I stick these up on Ticketmaster a Gator fan will
Probably snatch them. Would rather that not happen.

Thoughts on the game

I hate 2:30 p.m. home kickoffs. Same game time as Baylor debacle last year.

I didn't like that so many UCF fans sold their tickets to Colorado fans, either.

Not saying either factor affected the outcome.

UCF left too many points on field on the field for the second game in a row.

UCF simply is not built to come from behind against high-powered passing offenses.

The Knights needed a miracle to beat TCU trailing big late. They must 'stay on track' to win consistently n the Big 12. UCF has to come away with points in the red zone.

UCF could not run the ball consistently between the tackles. That's disastrous for Gus's offense.

UCF tried to get too cute on defense early with the front 7.

Colorado found a running game and wasn't one dimensional. UCF adjusted in the second half, but it was too little, too late.

Colorado's defensive ends had incredible games.

Shedeur Sanders is a future NFL quarterback and was still the second best player on the field.

The No. 1 factor that stuck out to me is Colorado had profoundly more speed at the skill positions than UCF.
