Campus Unrest

It seems to me that the Media is trying to portray the campus protests as some sort of massive, antisemitism thing. I'm not naive' enough to believe there is no such thing as antisemitism. But the notion that these college students are anti-Jewish and creating a hostile climate for Jewish students on campus is pure bullbucky.

They are Anti-War protests, period.

They are the same kind of protests that swept across our nation's colleges and universities back in the 1960s. Today's protests are about the treatment of the Palestinians in Gaza as a result of the Israeli-Hamas War. It's about protesting the GOVERNMENT of Israel, just as the Vietnam War was about protesting the GOVERNMENT of the United States.

It strikes me as disingenuous when I see the nightly news shows feature the same video clip of the same woman in Arab garb holding up the pro-Hamas sign, night after night. Seems to me if there was SO MUCH antisemitism going on on our college campuses, the news organizations would have amble footage to show it each night instead of repeating the same one over and over again. I swear I've seen that same clip over a dozen times now.

To be clear, I'm against anti-semitism and I'm not arguing that there aren't some Jew Haters in those crowds. I'm just saying that's NOT what these college student protests are all about. As they sang back in the Sixties, "all they are saying, is give peace a chance."

It’s really remarkable that it looks like we play soccer in an industrial park

Our campus is beautiful and these guys were ranked 1 in the nation last year and all you see is a rusty air conditioning unit and a grey ****ing Amazon fulfillment center looking wall

Edit there’s also a bunch of random tires and a loose tarp too

We are only one week from our first HOME game and yet no weather forecast from Knight_Light. I feel betrayed.

Anyone else feeling great about our first game only being ONE WEEK AWAY!!!

Isn’t it about time we start putting on our game faces?

Isn’t it about time to get into our routine!!!

Come on!!! Let’s Goooooooo!!!

Knight_Light where’s our weather report…🤓🤓🤓…

UNH Press News

Not alot of press information from their local news. A fairly honest assessment by their coach. I am sure they will be ready to play. Can they out physical us (not likely) or have more speed (very doubtful). However, we have been prone in the past to beat ourselves with stupid penalties and turnovers. So...let's see what team takes the field. Go knights!

OT- Iceland/Greenland visit recommendations

My wife and I booked a last minute cruise next week to Iceland, Greenland and Nova Scotia. We really haven’t planned anything yet and looking for something to do in Reykjavik for two days before we leave. Anything we must do or see?

We’re gonna stop at a couple other cities in Iceland and then Greenland and open to suggestions for anything to do. We’re very active and open to physical activity as well as food tours.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ollie Gordon: RJ Harvey Will 'Run Through Your Face'

“This league used to have 500-, 600-yard passing games. But when you have a talented running back, it’s easy to put the ball in their hand,” Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire said. “And there are a lot of backs in this league that would be the No. 1 back on any team in any league.”

That dynamic has fostered some mutual respect across the Big 12. In addition to linking up with (Ollie) Gordon at media days, (Texas Tech RB Tajh) Brooks trained with Neal a few times last offseason. Neal got to meet Harvey in Vegas this summer, and the two made plans to train together ahead of next spring’s NFL Draft. And they all seem to have developed an appreciation for each other’s game.

Gordon praised Brooks’ pass-blocking abilities and is working to add that element to his own game, and noted that even though Harvey can beat most defenders with his speed, “he will still run through your face.”

Harvey talked about (Kansas RB Devin) Neal’s ability to stick his foot in the ground and leave defenders in the dust and how many broken tackles Brooks forces.
