UCF CB target is officially back on the market

I had actually been communicating with him over the past week. He recently got a UCF offer and is teammates with WR Cayden Lee. He told me last week he might be setting up a UCF OV. Now he's decommited from Tulsa following the coaching change there.

Scheming for Tulane Defense

I’ve noticed Tulane seems to always play 2 deep safeties. They kept playing deep safeties on us last game and they got burned with JRP runs. Then against Cincy/Prater they kept running two deep safeties again against a running QB and Prater ran for 83 on them. In fact Cincy only passed for 102 yards and almost wins it.

When we played Cincy and Louisville they knew how to adjust to a running QB. They came up in the box with their safeties and it was a struggle to run. They forced the pass and we struggled to take advantage when JRP was in.

Why don’t they just play us like Cincy and Louisville if JRP is in? If JRP is out and they keep playing a pass heavy defense on us it’s going to be critical our O line really opens some holes for our RBs. Feels like Keene will need to hit some tight windows to win it like he did to beat Cincy in the second half.

Changes at Cincy. Which hurts more?

Coaches, portal players or recruits?

  • Fickell takes at least 4 coaches with him to UW

  • UCF picks up 2 or more players/recruits

  • Armageddon for Cincy, all of the above

Will we learn today how many coaches follow Fickell to UW? How many players on UW class stay once coaches are known?

How many current players or recruits leave?

Tulane Rematch

Do we pull a 2013 and after looking bad against a terrible usf team come out ready to play? Or are we too banged up?

I think we’re going to run the ball on them no matter who is playing QB but defense is going to have to force some punts.

Usf was able to play loose with nothing to lose last night while we had a lot on the line. I think you see some of that pressure shift to Tulane next weekend but if we don’t get better play on defense it won’t matter. Obviously can’t give them the ball in plus territory the entire half too.

Gus isn't the issue.

Watch the game with your HateGus glasses off. We punted 1 time all game and scored 46 points and we fumbled 3 times. Off the GusBus? Dumb.

**The REAL issue is our defense and has been the issue all season**

-They stopped USF only twice all game and one was at the end of the game when they ran up the middle three times.

-Navy held the ball 39mins because we couldn't get them off the field.

-ECU punted once all game and had time of possession of 35mins.

We just don't have a good defense this year. Take off you LoveTWill glasses and you will see this.

OT - post game lobby meet up with a bunch of Dungeonians including the infamous Dali

In the Hilton Hotel last night after the game . It was great putting faces to the anonymity of a screen names. We are all enjoying the win and talking about our jobs. One guy works for Northrup Grumman and people were asking about we he does . I quipped he works for their canoe division. The guy is an electrical engineer. It was funny and he didn't realize Grumman made aluminum canoes .

It was nice meeting everyone especially Dali Drama . 😆 Go Knights
