OT: Tour of UH's $25 Million, 53,000 sq ft Basketball Training Center

This beautiful facility opened in the Fall of 2015 and its no surprise to see how they started to get top recruits in the following years. (Coach Sampson helped too).

Attention to detail is very impressive and it's not shocking to see how they were able to use their Jordan Brand Sponsorship to sell to future recruits.

TM made the trip to Houston to meet with some counterparts in the Big 12 but I hope he had a chance to check out UH's impressive digs that they were able to build with donations.

Baffle ran well till he had to pit where rhey had major miscues but they now might be able to hire an Infinity Crew to help them in the Pits on Sunday.

Supply chain

I don't shop at Walmart much especially since COVID..I think part of it is I am bitter
.somehow during the early stages of the pandemic COVID mysteriously didn't spread in Wal-Mart but every small business and restaurant was deemed nonessential and closed down..

Anyway, I have noticed in Ingles here in NC and Walmart there are bare shelves
Publix not so much in that regard .

I heard Mayor Pete the other day lament how the ports are backed up but he also said the economy is rolling well based on sales. I started to think about my own business. Yes sales are up but part of that is from inflation. I have raised prices in my business. My single bite truffles went from $1.89 to $2.09 as an example..My volume has not dropped but my sales numbers have gone up. so mayor Pete attributes the supply chain issues to consumers spending. Duh, everything costs more Mayor Pete so it looks like the economy is booming .

Then I thought about a post I made in the Dungeon, or was it the ultra dungeon, I can't keep it straight anymore, but I like the Citronaut. I like it a lot. I commented that demand for his stuff would suggest a lot of people like him and I was rebuked with well not much of it is made so that's why it goes fast.

If things are in short supply and demand is the same then the appearance is that product might be high demand when it's truly not.

There is another issue not being talked about on regards to the supply chain stuff. I picked this up on a boating forum I am member of and a long haul trucker wrote a lengthy piece on the supply chain and it's not COVID ,it's the California Air Resources Board,CARB, they have regulations that prohibit trucks that are over 4 years old from entering the state of California. This guy said half of America's trucking fleet cannot enter the state at all. Then you got crazy union rules in their ports that prohibit independent truckers from hauling containers. The truck driver goes onto write between the union rules and carb the trucking industry has seen this day coming and it's here where you get cargo backed up at the ports.

Mayor Pete is a nice guy and congrats on being a dad and all,but he is either an idiot in regards to transportation and supply channels or he is lieing to the American people trying to shift the blame from ridiculous California regulations and ridiculous union demands which are the true cause of what we are seeing on store shelves.

I truly trust a long haul trucker on an internet boating forum more than Mayor Pete and the media on this issue. I also wonder why Publix doesn't appear to be facing shortages like other grocery stores. what ever they are doing they are doing it right.

OT - Championship Wrestling from Florida Reloaded

Tampa’s Championship Wrestling from Florida is relaunched and ‘reloaded’

It was once among the nation’s best promotions, starring Dusty Rhodes, Buddy Colt, Eddie Graham and The Great Malenko.

TAMPA — Fidel Sierra and Ricky Santana wrestled for Championship Wrestling from Florida, which was nationally renowned before it shuttered in the 1980s.
Now they are part of reviving the promotion that once helped launch the careers of wrestlers like Dusty Rhodes and Gerald and Jack Brisco.
Well, they are part of reloading it.
Palmetto’s Jeff Weaver has established the Championship Wrestling from Florida Reloaded promotion.
Its next show is at 6 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Lake Wimauma Convention Center. Tickets are $10 at the door.
The event will feature a mix of those who performed for the original promotion, current established stars and up-and-comers looking for their shot at the big time.

Sierra will be a ringside manager as part of the show. Santana will make an appearance, too. Both also work backstage as mentors.
“For me, I’m like a coach behind the scenes,” said Santana. “I’m like that former football player who returns to his alma mater as coach.”

The promotion’s inaugural event in July had the same mix, with former CWF bad guy Kevin Sullivan making an appearance and mentoring young talent.
Weaver said he chose to add “Reloaded” to the promotion’s name for two reasons.
WWE owns the rights to most of CWF’s classic footage and the name Florida Championship Wrestling, which was once the WWE’s farm league promotion.
“I just wanted to avoid any legal issues because CWF and FCW could be similar,” Weaver said. More importantly, “we’re not the original guys. We’re the new guys in Florida. We’re the reload. We’re bringing it back, continuing the tradition, but also introducing new stars.”

OT: FL Sales Tax Holiday Dates to save on UCF Tailgating/Camping Gear, Clothing, etc...

Also includes dates for those looking to make big purchases on computers, generators, COOLERS, Tents (tailgate tents), and even tickets to sporting events and concerts.

Also, no sales tax on UCF clothing attire on items less than $100.

This is going thru the FL Legislature and most likely will be approved (some are approved most years too)

UCF NIL Commercial During the Winter Olympics

This Rayniah Jones Addition Financial commercial below is getting shown a lot during the prime time Olympics. I think this NIL is really going to help bring a lot more awareness of UCF in the Orlando area in a great way with more NIL deals in the years to come without any advertising being spent by the University:
