Coaching hires under Gus.

Gus gets a pass for a couple years. Recruiting matters a lot and he doesn’t have his guys. He also had to hire in a hurry and I get not every guy would have been his first choice but some of these guys need to be put in the hot seat.

Coaching errors to me are when we keep making the same mental mistakes over and over. Tackling is getting worse. The secondary looks lost. Timely penalties. Fair catching inside the 10. It goes on and on. Those are coaching errors.

Special teams, LB play, corner play, safety play have been really bad. Injuries play a part but some of this goes beyond that.

Memphis is gonna either answer some of these issues or completely expose us. We look horribly unprepared.

This is how UCF will play in Big...but with different Dfence..

K-State Football (@KStateFB) Tweeted: It was a purple party at the 2021 Texas Bowl as @CoachKli led the Wildcats to a dominant 42-20 victory over LSU on Tuesday night #KStateFB | @TexasBowl https://t.co/1mSZfG88ZG Login to view embedded media
K State plays like us now..but we have better players. Defense is different though..We don't play 3 4...

Transfer Portal Tally Sheet

NOTE: Most transfer outs weren't used much by UCF. The immediate status for them to play at the next college is a good thing. There will always be some that have you scratching your head as to why they left. We'll chalk that off as personal reasons we'll never understand and hope that it's NOT Antonio Brown syndrome.

UCF Hoops Probable Roster for 2022-2023 and beyond

With Free Agency...moves might happen so this is written in pencil: (some transfers will be coming into the program this off-season)

13 total scholarships available (unless they allow extra for free covid year players)

1) Freshmen G: Tyler Hendricks
2) Freshmen Forward: Taylor Hendricks (4 star)
3) Soph PG: Darius Johnson
4) Redshirt Freshmen SG: PJ Edwards
5) Senior SG: Darrin Green*
6) Redshirt Junior SG/Wing: Tyem Freeman
7) Redshirt Freshmen Forward: Ed'Xavior Rhodes
8) Junior Forward: Isaiah Adams*
9) Junior Forward: Jamille Reynolds*
10) Senior Forward: CJ Walker*
11)
12)
13)

*Free extra Covid Year available

Odds are 1 or more of the above (not the incoming Freshmen) will transfer out....as it is what it is with free agency.

Most of the top HS recruits have already signed back in November...so I would suspect that at least 2 out of the 3 available spots went to transfers with MORE than 1 year of eligibility left so they could be on the roster in UCF's first year in Big 12 play (2023-2024).

While the last year in AAC will be a key season to do well...loading up the roster with QAULITY for Year 1 in 2023-2024 is paramount.
