2024 Election Thread

After Donald Trump’s victory on Tuesday, longtime vaccine skeptic Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is poised to have tremendous influence over the way the United States regulates and distributes its vaccines.

Kennedy has pushed the disproven idea that vaccines cause autism for decades, and founded the nonprofit Children’s Health Defense to promote theories linking vaccines to other conditions. Other leaders of the Trump-aligned Make America Healthy Again movement also have a history of anti-vaccine advocacy. Kennedy has backed off more inflammatory anti-vaccine rhetoric recently, instead emphasizing his desire for more transparency and data around the products. It’s unclear exactly what data he is seeking.

“If vaccines are working for somebody, I’m not going to take them away,” he told MSBNC on Wednesday. “People ought to have a choice and that choice ought to be informed by the best information.”

You were correct but it wasn’t bc vaccines. Mike was spot on it being mainly bc of Inflation not dropping quick enough and the Border/Immigration. I misread the Electorate on Immigration but I did have Trump winning Nevada and Arizona with that in mind.

You get your news from CNN and MSNBC. I get mine right from the horses mouth on Twitter. There were thousands of women terrified on Twitter. The more vocal ones were pissed off in public about it

Dr. Jen lost a couple hundred thousand followers because she pedaled deep state propaganda instead of being honest with them

There were a lot of reasons and it’s complicated. Vaccines are never even mentioned by any reputable news source or in ANY poll.

I don’t know of a single person that voted based on anything vaccine related. Do you?

Things like not having enough time to prepare, not having clear cut strategies on policies, Trump bashing, a poor choice for VP, and not resonating with the average American all played a significant part

She had a lot going for her (abortion, female, minority, not Trump), but that could not be counteracted in the end. Democrats are now second guessing her as their choice.

Remember this deep state, left propaganda once the country gets to know Bobby Kennedy better. He's a heck of a nice guy and true patriot that's genuinely concerned for public health and safety

This Colbert schtick brought to you by Pfizer. Doesn't this stuff get old yet for the Libs? 95% of them never actually heard a long format interview with the guy🤦‍♀️💰🚮

A heck of a nice guy based on what? When asked about being accused of sexual assault his response was " I'm not a church boy" and "if all the skeletons in my closet could vote, I could be king of the the world". He doesn't even pretend he's a heck of a nice guy.

Some of his views in health are good, with regards to how many chemicals are in our food and that sort of thing. His anti vaccine stuff, especially with regards to all vaccines is nutty as can be. He convinced Samoan people to stop taking vaccines and the following year 70 people died of measles.

😂🤣😂"a heck of a nice guy" 😂🤣😂

Such a nice guy that when his 2nd of 3 current wives found his diary of infidelities (40+ mistresses) she committed suicide.

Thank you for proving better than I ever could that quite literally everything you post is bullshit.

People, watch the Colbert clip you posted. We are in trouble, and boston is a complete and total moron.

That's all left leaning propaganda. Bobby has already offered rebuttal to the Samoa lies. He's also not anti vaccine, but pro safety , quality, and deconflicted evidence based medicine. None of which exists anywhere near what it did 30 years ago

Put everything you've been brainwashed to believe by liberal MSM and conflicted “experts” like Peter Hotez or Paul Offitt on the shelf. Listen to a long format interview with RFKJ and hear both sides of the story then make your decision on a given topic. I used to be just like you by the way, I know where you're coming from. I was convinced RFK was a conspiracy theorist crackpot hardly even three years ago. Then I heard a long format interview and realized I've been conned the entire time 💰

Breaking news!!! Military doing its job legally!

I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain to you in a manner that you can understand (because you are a moron) how the military does not take an oath to the CiC, we take an oath the Constitution. It's literally our job to ignore illegal orders.

Goodknightfl is fact checking you. FFS man how much more embarrassing can this get for you?'

I was dead wrong. I thought I knew this country. Clearly, I don't.

We'll see how we like Trump Version 2.

So a loser from Nebraska is still on this board after all of this time? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah, I remember there were a few on here. I also remember one that had a Beavis avatar.

You also thought you knew the Constitution....lol. Let me suggest a reading lesson for you... This may be over you level of comprehension, but give it a try! Maybe you'll learn something......

We'll see how the Constitution holds up with Trump Round 2.

This is it, guys. I told myself a few weeks ago that I'd post through the election. But the election is over and the crazies won.

To the board's resident trolls, congratulate yourselves, you "ran me off." ;) To the rest of you, take care.

Still waiting on you to point out where I'm "clueless" on the Constitution. Arguing about fabricated statements = dementia. Get out of here and go back to your safe space. SMH

So since the election we have:

Hamas calling for a ceasefire
Russia wanting to come to negotiation table
European leaders wanting to align with the us
Every case against trump suddenly dropped

The libs are running scared.

I'll break out the crayons for you, since that phrase really seemed to leave an impression:
I'll explain this slowly for you, with crayons:

1) Trump is the 2024 (that's this year) Republican nominee
2) He repeatedly does bad things that are newsworthy
3) This is a thread about the 2024 Republican and Democratic election
It's getting really old having to explain things in crayons to you, but even a modicum of research shows these states were following the law.

fellow literally so goddamn stupid inbred trolls, should we pitch in to buy @NinjaKnight some crayons since he doesn’t have any anymore?

I am one of those that believe the country is worse off after the election results, but my god… the twitter/tiktok meltdowns about it are embarrassing as hell. That stuff is not productive.

Yeah, agreed. I have a family member that is having post election issues. They live alone and work from home, which is not a good combination for them. We keep in contact with her on a daily basis. It's nearly impossible for them to have a conversation without talking about the election/ direction of the country, etc. It would be nice if they just disconnected from MSM and social media for a little while.

It's very concerning to have a relative in this situation. She's the nicest, most sincere person.

it would happen on both sides in this too online country.

Silver lining at least I don’t have to see that 3 Star Linebacker playing women’s basketball commercial when trying to enjoy a Football game.

I am happy Gallego won in Arizona, him being in the Senate is good for the Democrats.

Whole lotta blame to go around:

People think that 312 EC votes was a blowout. I don’t agree that this was a blowout. Like he said, there wasn’t that much of a differece in the swing states results.

Just the border situation alone was probably enough to flip this election.

The popular vote margin will continue to shrink as California has only reprlorted 72%. Ridiculous.

Eh, couple things: it was an ass beating no matter how you look at it. Not much a difference in the swing states, and yet Trump won every single last one of them.

Harris did no better than Biden in any single county in the country. That's an indictment on the two of them.

Don't you remember the arguments we had with Adolf over the border? Dumb ass spent a year going back and forth with us screaming that there was nothing to see here, we're racists, ignore the last three years--the bill on the table was all Trump's fault. etc. etc. etc.

The issue now is that the Trump administration is going to swing too far the other way on the border. He is going to appoint Tom Homan as the “border czar” who was instrumental in the past family separation policy that took thousands of children from their parents.

Kamala still did better than Biden would have and she probably helped down ballot w Congress. If those Summer Biden internal poll rumors were true then Biden probably would have lost Virginia and Minnesota too.

Yeah and the optics of it are bound to get messy if he follows through w it. But all this should probably go in a new thread of his administration

Yuuuuuup. Evidently calling half the nation racist Nazis won't win an election, but it's still factually true.

I don't disagree that Biden didn't need to be left off the ticket. My contention always was that they didn't do a open primary and simply handed it to her.

Still, even if it wasn't her, they still only would have had 107 days to string together a campaign. It's not entirely on Harris. The biggest mess up was completely ignoring Joe's cognitive decline and thinking he could still run and beat Trump. Biden should have bowed out when the year began.

He should have bowed out after the 2022 midterms but the overachieving result gave him false confidence. That result was more bc of how fresh Roe was in voters minds

The biggest issue is the same that every party in power faces. People struggling economically will look to someone else to fix it. Look at the swing in new voters and young voters toward Trump from 2020 to 2024. That alone won him the election. People 18-22 don’t necessarily care what was going on politically 4, 8, or 12 years ago they just know that prices are high and they can’t afford housing. And if in 4 years that demographic is still struggling, well, you know who gets the blame.
