Anti-Vaxxers at it Again

Not that it matters, but yes the virus was going away. That’s how viruses work. It’s how other sars viruses have worked. They pass through a population and that population develops immunity.
Royal Attendant: Your Majesty, Your Majesty, the Black Plague is upon us!!! What ever shall we do??!?

King Edward III: (channeling Happy Hands of the future): The virus is going away eventually. That's how viruses work.

Royal Attendant: B-B-But my gut tells me it is destined to become The Most Fatal Pandemic in human history, killing upwards to 200 MILLION people.

King Edward III: Nevertheless, I give it four years tops.

I’m sick to death of this ridiculous topic but I’m curious about something. While your “no to government restrictions” mantra might give you guys orgasms, it doesn’t make a lick of sense.

I can appreciate how big pharma was, at least in one instance, able to develop a vaccine without….(cue menacing music)….government involvement. But how they were going to quickly distribute the vaccines nationwide, let alone assure enough folks they were safe to the point where the majority of Americans would get a shot WITHOUT the government being directly involved? The very notion is nonsense.
Which company developed a vaccine without government assistance?
I don’t know how to answer your question. The CDC takes massive amounts of pharma money through their foundation, the FDA receives 45 percent of their budget from pharma and almost all of the scientists they use to approve new treatments receive money for research and travel from pharma.

The NIH has a vested interest in the Moderna vaccine. They signed an agreement with Moderna 5 or 6 years ago to develop vaccines using MRNA technology. They also developed the spike protein used in the vaccine which Pfizer also uses.

The largest lobby in DC is the pharmaceutical lobby. I want to say they double the next largest group. They’ve bought our government. It’s the reason they don’t go to jail for the things they’ve done and just pay fines.

So I don’t know how to answer your question because the agencies involved with regulating pharmaceutical groups are controlled by them as well. There isn’t a “how would they _______ without the government.” The amalgamation of government and corporations have removed most dividing lines. The government just does what it is told at this point. Media companies want the ad dollars, so they do as well.

Maybe I did answer the question. Pharma has the government and media tell the population what they need them to say.

Are you seriously to the point of comparing covid to the bubonic plague?

It’s over 90% effective. That’s why cases and deaths are down
The cases are down because the CDC no longer tracks cases from vaccinated individuals and they aren’t required to be tested for everyday activities like the unvaccinated. That eliminated 40 percent of the adult population. Also, it is summer.

This IS SARS! SARS-CoV-2!

SARS-CoV (retroactively SARS-CoV-1) never went global, just regional.
Same with MERS-CoV, which had the limitation of being in a hot, dry region.

SARS-CoV-2 is the first that went global.
SARS-CoV has not been eliminated.

There will be other Coronaviruses too.
OC43-CoV (aka HCoV-OC43) has not been eliminated either.

After 130 years, it was still the #1 cause of the #1 respiratory killer among the elderly, before SARS-CoV-2.

They pass through a population and that population develops immunity.
Only one (1) disease has reached 'sterilizing immunity,' smallpox.
Many reach 'effective immunity,' but not all.

The presumption of 'effective immunity' being possible with SARS-CoV-2 at 50-75% is dead. It has not. Now add in the new variants, and we're likely very f'd.

SARS-CoV-2 is the new OC43-CoV. Accept it. It's the new, common cold. And yes, it kills, And yes, it causes temporary and even permanent cardiovascular damage. It just doesn't kill as much as it used to, but neither harm young people like older or high risk.

You protect the vulnerable and allow everyone else to fight the virus naturally. That was the entire point of the Great Barrington Declaration written by epidemiologists from Harvard, Oxford and Stanford then signed by thousands of other health professionals. It was also Fauci’s original plan and even revealed in the emails.
And how well have they been correct so far?
Even not considering the variants?

The number of experts now joining 'the detractors' have been growing.
The 'hope' has not been realized.

Yes, deaths are down, ICU visits are down, but ... it's still spreading.
The vaccines do not stop the spread, and that's becoming clear.

The vaccines improve how much the infection affects someone.
And if they can keep people asymptomatic, that is what actually reduces spread.

Why he went against years of established protocol to do things that were known not work is a mystery.
Dr. Fauci, like any expert, has his views. They are not universal.

I cannot tolerate how the left over-states things he does not say.
And I cannot tolerate how the right over-demonizes things the left said about him.

Dr. Fauci is not the origin of everything that doesn't go as planned.

You are correct though, you can’t stop a virus. The vaccine isn’t stopping anything, but it does reduce symptoms from mild to moderate Covid cases. It also improves the countries overall risk from Covid by about 1-2 percent (absolute risk).
That's actually a fair statement.
