Baseball: Tallahassee regional.

The boys had a nice year. They played well and took it to the championship of the regional, which no one expected. Great job look forward to next year.
Best two athletic departments in Florida battled for the final spot in the World Series. Nothing to hang your hat about.

Not quite the World Series. This was to move on to a Super Regional vs the Winner of the Oklahoma/UCONN game(s).

Hell of a season in the first year with Wallace. So glad Lovelady is gone. Wallace basically tore the whole thing down for the most part and rebuilt it hodge podge with transfers, and got all the way to the last 32 teams. Can't wait to see what the team looks like when he starts getting his guys coming in out of high school.

Agreed 100%

-Great in-state wins at Florida, at Miami, won a series against USF.
-Beat OkSt three times, won twice against Kansas State (who is still alive, advanced to the Super Regionals).
-Advanced to the semifinals of the B12 tournament, advanced to a regional finals in the first year of new conference.
-First-year head coach (alum) that brought a lot of pride and excitement back to the program.

It wasn’t a very high bar to clear, but I think baseball was our most successful athletic program in 2023-24.

UCF went 2-1 in the Big 12 tournament, and 2-2 in the NCAA tourney, 4-3 overall in the postseason. We were not expected to make the NCAA tournament, nor compete in the Big12 this year with a rebuilt team loaded with transfers. Coach Wallace has shown he can acquire talent and then coach em up. I’m extremely happy with his hire, and like the direction the program is heading with only one years worth of data. GKCO!
