Really an ignorant and shortsighted comment. Tells me that he has no understanding of what we are trying to do with our offense and program in general.

Ping said it was the right choice.

Bianchi trying to compare the amount of plays that we ran saturday vs how many we ran vs SC State.

That's an embarassing analogy with all of the variables. This guy has been a sportswriter for how long??? What a lazy thinker.

When you are comparing the takes of freaking Ping and Bianchi you should probably just delete the thread and get it over with.

Just thought it would be something different than posting a 28th thread about the Big-12 expansion.

It's very possible that a healthy Holman gives us a win. Milton had like 4 turnovers and a couple of bad reads. The defense is what kept UCF in the game. It is also possible that Holman plays like Bad Holman (BH) and the offense stalls continuously.

Milton starting could be the wake up call for Good Holman(GH) to start playing. GH is a he'll of a ball player. BH is frightening to watch.

6 fumbles, 4 turnovers well.

That's what he's thinking. I'm not convince Milton's performance was better than Holman's, both completed some passes, both threw poorly. BUT, that was Milton's first game compared to ..... Let that sink in for a moment.

I thought this was funny. Like a Jeckle and Hyde comparison

Here's the thing:

Good Holman, Bad Holman, medium Holman, fast offense Holman, slow Holman, tall Holman, Shannon Green loves Holman, Hail Mary Holman, speedier Holman, book smart Holman,
not confident Holman, excuses for Holman.

All those Holmans. They are all gone after 9 games and we just burned Milton's redshirt. Let him play.

Moment over. Go with Milton.

Here's the thing...the players are faithful to one another and typically don't place the blame on each other for losses (hence no condemnation for Holman). However, their energy was much higher with Milton in there. College football is a game of passion swings. Milton amps up the team. When he gets it together he will take this team further than Holman can. As far as QB position is concerned I think the new QB drill to run and throw the ball at the same time says it all. Holman can't even stand still and complete passes consistently.

Also, one game is short sighted and if Holman couldn't scramble he would have been sacked often last Saturday. Hamstrings don't heal in one week. Bianci is being Bianci who likes to instigate a riot.

You don't get graded on a curve for your first or 15th game. Everyone keeps writing "it was good for his first game". 6 fumbles and 4 turnovers is good? Godfrey and Bortles didn't even do that.

Why don't you get graded on a curve?
Don't most QB improve from their first start?

You can't compare Milton at all with those 2. It's Apples and oranges.

Just for starters, the pace was faster, and the RB is a true freshman.

Other reasons are Bortles wasn't a true freshman, Godfrey had experience around him, was on campus practicing longer, etc., etc., etc.,

The fumbles can be fixed pretty easily. I think that's why most are more optimistic than you'd normally be looking at a 4 turnover day.

Bad reads? He threw one pick that was tipped so questionable that was his fault. Found multiple receivers and had more yards passing in one game that Holman had in 1.5 games. Good pocket presence and enough sense to get outta dodge when the pocket broke down.

Not sure what game you saw but only terrible thing I saw outta Milton was ball security. Pretty sure Frost is gonna duct tape a football to his hands for walking around campus all week.

Bianchi's takes are only based on generating the most calls/emails.
and several less touchdowns.

The love affair and patience with Holman is weird. Even an "O'leary Guy" Kyle Israel said in that most recent @knightlinepodcast interview that he and others with him at the game said that watching Milton was the most entertaining QB that gave the Stadium a real buzz since Bortles.

By the way all those recruits on Campus specifically talked about one player and how exciting their visit was, McKenzie Milton.

Let Frost play his guys and anyone that has played Football knows how much the QB's confidence can spread down to the rest of the roster. There's no guarantee the game goes a certain way with Holman playing the whole game.

I wasn't talking about the passing game.
I'm talking about the option. He made some bad defensive reads and kept the ball when he shouldn't have and handed it off when he should have kept it. That's stuff he will learn and I'm not worried about it.

I don't think he is completely wrong. Milton turned the ball over 4 times. He also had moments of good plays. He was exciting to see and it was fun, but his inexperience cost us the game. However, I am OK with that. I did not care that much if we beat Maryland. I just want to see the offense progress as a unit.

It was a choice to start a true freshman QB, it was a choice to start a true freshman RB, it was a choice to start a true freshman RG. You can't make these choices and then make excuses for 6 fumbles. This is the life you chose.

his turnovers cost us the game.,..his skill had us moving and in the game in the first place.

5% chance Holman comes close to making a play like that TD in first OT (just one example). Just doesnt have the presence, the skill, nor the touch.

I will agree that when he wasn't turning the ball over, we were moving down the field.

I don't see how Holman would have helped. The offense looked jumbled and disorganized against SC State....point of emphasis...SC State is horrible and any FBS program should look good against them. The offense was non-existent against Michigan. I know we racked up a lot of yards on the ground but we looked completely out of sync that whole game. At least with Milton playing we look like we're running our offense. He's going to make mistakes but his decision-making was fairly good. It's going to take him 3-4 games to get his feet under him, and it may take all year to cure the turnovers because when he runs he doesn't tuck the ball at all. I say roll with the kid and let's see if we execute better over the next 3-4 games. If not maybe you throw Holman out there again if the end of our season matters. I liked what I saw, even with all the mistakes and misqueues.

bizzle you are now complaining about him playing Freshman, Smith is losing carries to Killins/Hamilton bc he doesn't have their talent/speed

during this play for example I bet Holman hesitates for a half second and that Maryland dlineman gets to him for the sack

His pocket presence was well above Holman's. You can tell the system fits him. Gonna be exciting, I think UCFast is starting to rear it's head.
