Then don't complain about a 2-10 season......this team right now has less talent left than the 2015 team considering how much harder our schedule is.No. It’s killing fans expectations of what success looks like in December. Thankfully nobody on this board works for the UCF Football program.
This time the last two years we were gloating about our recruiting rankings. That led to two losing seasons.
I’d rather them take their time and get it right for the long term.
Yes the fans have been used to Gus ‘booms’ in the Winter when games are not played only to look like the most disorganized Program possible on gameday to the point that tv announcers started calling Gus out.It actually happened quickly and the fans including me are grieving the wrench that changing coaches at this time throws in the new recruiting class signing period. If it was done in February like the past we wouldn't be having this conversation. A Frost class doesn't have the same needs as a Gus class. Just a fact of life.
I got a guy his name is Ted RoofI am going to send this to FootballScoop for Frost.

Missing the best part of the portal is a huge miss in 2025
Seems to be the direction he is going. By bringing in milton and cooper he likely doesnt have to spend much on them. Can then spend a pretty penny on the defensive side of the football.I think he needs to get a defense coordinator that he could stick his head in the room periodically but leave it to the defense coordinator to run that side of the ball and he can concentrate on the offense
Have to remember, when frost came in the first time he had like two weeks to cobble together a class. It actually happened quickly and the fans including me are grieving the wrench that changing coaches at this time throws in the new recruiting class signing period. Shut the hell up gus used underwear sniffer.... your idol failed, the game has passed him by.....the putz just wasted our time after 2021I am going to send this to FootballScoop for Frost.

That wouldn't have been true because neither the Winter NSD nor the transfer portal existed back then.Have to remember, when frost came in the first time he had like two weeks to cobble together a class.
done deal nowthe OC hire can also be effected by whether Frost wants to call the plays 100% of the time or not
Yeah, and how does everyone feel about that hire? The guys on ATK were talking about that this morning.done deal now
That's good because we have almost nothing left:I won’t complain.
We made the right call for the long term good of the program in walking away from Gus and not paying the buyout. From there, it’s all about building a solid program.
For the sake of a six and six season, I am not for mortgaging our long-term future. That’s what this past season turned out to be.
Short term negative long term positive imoUCF offensive coordinator Tim Harris, Jr., is joining Gus Mazlahn at Florida State as wide receivers coach, according to a report Thursday from Brandon Marcello of CBS Sports.
Speaking of plugging holes I see that we have 3 WR recruits and two RBs signed this class.Yes the fans have been used to Gus ‘booms’ in the Winter when games are not played only to look like the most disorganized Program possible on gameday to the point that tv announcers started calling Gus out.
The recruiting this cycle will be a patchwork job being hired after the first signing day. They will be looking to plug holes as late as April. Frost is going to have to ‘prove it’ to have more higher end talent roll in.
Bunch of ...That's good because we have almost nothing left:
QB: Nothing great, surprised we don't have more guys in the portal - Assume Frost will bring in his own guys like before
WR: When Magwood is your best returner, ugh
TE: Nothing left to speak of
RB: Think we are OK as long as we don't get a exodus from Montgomery, Gage, and Swint
OL: All starters gone, and no one left that logged much time
Dotson is out of eligibility. Lawrence and Kelly combined for 10.5 sacks in 2024.DL: We have Kelly, Lawrence, Dotson and not much else (assuming Hunter is going pro)
I am surprised Alexander is staying.LB: Alexander (who is really good) and no one else in our top 20 tacklers
Arnold is out of eligibility.DB: Arnold, Marshall, and that is about it
Specialists: All 3 starters in the portal
I am ok with both. young coaches need old coaches to learn from just like young players need older players.I know I’m in the minority but I don’t want to see Darin Hinshaw or Sean Beckton on this staff.
If we are pulling from the Alumni it needs to be younger guys; Kevin Smith, McKenzie Milton types.
Yes we have 3 freshmen WRs coming in and new RBs getting a chance this season that we're behind 5 year college RBs who am sure could compete for special team returner position and we will be getting in transfers after spring game as well. The sky ain't falling. We don't know what we have or are going to have. Plenty of guys on that 1-11 team that were also on the 13-0 team. The sky isn't falling, nor is it clear blue. We have no idea what it is and that's scarier to people than anything else.
Where is he working now ? or is he workingSomeone mentioned Travis Fisher.....THAT is the kind of UCF Alum we should target
In January 2023, Fisher was hired by the Syracuse Orange football team as defensive backs coach.Where is he working now ? or is he working
They went winless. We don't know what we have or are going to have. Plenty of guys on that 1-11 team that were also on the 13-0 team. The sky isn't falling, nor is it clear blue. We have no idea what it is and that's scarier to people than anything else.
I question the authority of the running back coaches. I’m sure Lane has quite a bit input.idk if the Kevin Smith talk is real or just fans hoping but Ole Miss fans apparently want him gone
They blame him for not playing their best RB more but I am not sure if Lane is the one setting the depth chart or him
Fisher was on Syracuse’s staff last year, but he’s not on a staff this season.Where is he working now ? or is he working
Dino got fired last year as did his staffFisher was on Syracuse’s staff last year, but he’s not on a staff this season.
Correct.Dino got fired last year as did his staff
I feel like defensive coordinator is the most important hire and it's the one I have heard the least about. Do you think we are waiting until bowls/playoffs are over because we are looking at someone on a staff that's still playing?
