I rember hanging with my Brother at a UF Miami game in the 80s, wow! That was rough. Gator fans throwing ice, pine cones that were still green and heavy, whiskey bottles.
How stupid does ESPN feel now, a nothing, never was in doubt I-AA, FCS no one really gives a crap game, 38-0, v. the UCF-Cincy game. Real snore fest they picked. Whoda-guessed?

Same reason they didn’t show ND vs Cuse. ND didn’t deserve the spotlight. Neither did we after losing. Win and you get featured. If not, someone else will.
we lost so it is our fault but man UCF was a much better scene this weekend for their show. the turnout this morning at Jackson State wasn’t very good
For the brief moment Neon Deion was on stage CGD was entertaining. Other than than it was boring. Agreed missed opportunity for UCF and ESPN. They did mention it when they were picking the cin-UCf game that they were considering coming to Orlando.
Btw RG3 is a great announcer. I enjoyed his coverage and his immersion into the game and Spirit Splash experience. Glad they found his wedding ring!

When Rece Davis says UCF was a top 10 Gameday Location, do you think most people associate our opponent for that designation? Most have no idea who we played that time. It’s mostly about the hist school.
I would love to be the visiting school for Gameday. Means your presence is worthy for a National matchup. Tulane could be the G5 November hit and we would/are bringing a lot of fans.
Dude cheer up/try to see the positive in things every once in a while instead of always being negative. We missed our chance at hosting. It's gone. Being featured on CGD as an away team is still much much better than nothing.
Yes, clearly it's not the same as hosting CGD, but both teams still need to be good/ranked (vast majority of the time) for them to be featured, and being featured gives much more publicity than nothing at all.

the appeal of Gameday is showcasing our campus more than the matchup. In 2018 espn even did College Football Live and other spots from UCF on Friday
you probably don’t want Gameday as the away team bc the crowd is extra juiced up. especially for a team that usually doesn’t get good crowds (which is why they may not get it anyway)
They might go to Tulane. It's a long shot but if some teams like Alabama lose (they play old miss next week) could make it a little more of a possibility.
