ESPN Apologizes for Jemele Hill, Clay Travis Responds

i dont think she should be fired for it, but suspended for sure. that said, i really dont care anymore. i stopped watching espn when they gave the woman of the year award to a dude. unless there is a must see game on, i will continue to avoid espn.

Absolutely unbelievable that I haven't watched that shit network in more than five years and dropped them from my satellite plan at my first opportunity.
 
Jemele wasn't even suspended for one day. She was at her normal co-host.spot for the 6 pm Sportscenter earlier tonight.
 
She should be treated the same as rush, hank jr, tony kornheiser, Linda Cohn, and curt--all of whom were suspended or fired for saying dumb things (political, racist, sexist). She is no different, but I imagine she will be treated differently.

The press will ask the question and then write about it, ignoring the fact the it was a response to a question, like the white house called the press conference specifically to talk about Hill.

I think Trump is ridiculous, but man the media is dishonest in its coverage. They've done a great job of making college kids, and unprudent adults, think every Republican is a white supremacist.

Hill's comments were tweeted and Twitter is where stupid people go to parrot other stupid people or just be stupid all alone. Thus, they are of little consequence and should have been ignored by civilized society. Thanks media!

the worst part of this situation is that she really sucks at her job and this will give her a base of support that will make it impossible for ESPN to fire her. And my take has nothing to do with her politics, gender, etc she's one of the worst sports anchors I've ever seen on television. I like Micheal Smith and think he deserves that slot, Hill does not

Why would anyone there? ESPN is run by the same types of people who run MSNBC. They fire and outcast conservatives voices and cater to anyone who wants to spew left wing fringe bullshit while collecting a check from them. No one would dare fill in for her since they know the bosses fully agree with her.

ESPN is truly one of the dumbest networks in existence right now. Their youth base is totally disappearing due to cable cutting and they are now fully alienating the older crowd that simply does not want to watch another form of MSNBC ever night.

Good luck to ESPN trying to make it with a viewing audience of NYC and Berkeley liberals.
