ESPN Insider Has UCF Going To B12 By 2016

We need expansion of playoffs to 8 teams more than anything else first for us to have a chance to ever play for a national championship. Way too many forces against us to make it into the final 4. We made it to being ranked #10 so our goal 1st should be for a playoff of 8 teams and to make it into the top 8 of rankings.

They want to lock up FL, they should grab USF instead of Cincy. Ohio pretty much cares about one team, and it isn't Cincy. It also instantly puts a rivalry game into the mix. One day our game against each other will matter. Don't know the hurdles USF has as far as facilities, etc... Obviously not having an on-campus stadium hurts but the fact is, they do play at a high quality venue (even if it is the Bucs). Houston's attendance sucks for having a great year and opening a new stadium. I would have concerns on what happens there once they have a couple of average or sub-par seasons down the road. They have the TV market, though, and that could easily trump other factors.

Memphis is a lot closer to Marshall than they are to Baylor in relevance. It will remain that way forever until they get a P5 invite.

In normal Memphis years, but they made noise beating Ole Miss at the time. I didn't say more relevant than Baylor who has been a top 15 regular in most recent years. Comparing 2015 to half the ACC or even bottom of Big 10 or Big 12.

Nobody cares about Kansas football, Syracuse football, wake forest football, etc.

And Navy and Memphis were more relevant than a ton of so called power teams.

Relevant in which way? Were they in contention for a playoff spot? Before the season begins all G5 schools know they won't make the playoff. That my friends is irrelevancy.

Truth hurts. UCF dropped the ball the last 2 years to establish themselves as thee top expansion candidate.

Thamel and others should read what he wrote earlier in the article- one season doesn't make a trend. But of course Big 12 are only humans and they can make stupid decisions like ignore the state of Florida, and add BYU hence making it 2 teams that will fight the creation of a channel. Also, yes Cincy won 6 more games than us, but what a crappy season for a team who was expected to compete for the AAC title.

What a crappy season for a team that is supposed to be the class of the AAC and the G5 who was expected to be big 12 worthy just by their football resume.
