Trump is a terrible candidate. That being said, he never put national security at risk or knowing broke the law to cover it up.

He did a really awful job giving any context on what is actually happening if you read the letter. They could be investigating Clinton OR they could be using this emails to investigate something else entirely. "Reopening" or exploring charges against Clinton is not anywhere seen in the letter. It could be but the letter is pretty bad without context.

Que the liberals who praised Comey the first time now telling us that he is a partisan hack out to get Hillary.

The spin starts here.

Correct. the letter does not specifically mention a "reopening" of the investigation, but it is an easy inference to make when they say they are evaluating the emails to see what effect it has on the investigation.

This isn't spin. That letter literally tells us almost nothing. I'm willing to actually listen to details or context but it's inarguable that right now we don't have any.

If they found nothing do you really think they'd publish a letter like this knowing the optics?

Hillary can thank herself for this mess since she caused it by lying and deceiving the FBI and American people.

But there's also the "unrelated case" and the "not sure if anything matters yet" lines. It could be something or it could be nothing or it could be something for this unrelated case but not against HRC. Just going off the actual letter it could be any of that.

Then why mention it at all, if it's unrelated? Why write a letter to Congress to inform them that there's literally nothing of value to their inquiry? There's something there and Comey knows it.

What the liberals?!?!?!?! Que?????

Oh, CUE!

That's what's irresponsible here. Either tell us there's some shit And be clear or don't say shit until you know for sure. I don't know if this is incompetence or trying to say without saying. This close to an election Americans deserve to know what the story is, good or bad. That letter was just asinine in how vague it was given the timing and the subject matter.

And cue the ....whatever you call yourselves now....taking Comey as thoroughly bringing the heat now after calling him a corrupt hack the first time. It's going both ways now.

I mean if this is true then this is the type of shit that needs to be clarified.

Pete Williams sources say in course of a separate investigation, FBI came across "a device." found emails there. but emails NOT from HRC

Then they wouldn't be "pertinent to the investigation" - unless they describe contact with HRC that has been previously undocumented.

And that's fine but we can't have this much vagueness this close to the election. Good or bad....just clarify what is or isn't happening.

What clarification do you need. They said they are looking at new emails that are related to the Clinton email server.

How about we let the investigation play out? It's pretty obvious that Comey isn't playing sides here. A few weeks ago, the GOP supporters were saying he was in bed with the Dems when he wouldn't press charges against HRC, now the Dems have fuel to say he's in bed with the GOP for bringing this to light 11 days before the election. He can't be both.
