Tylenol has been around for over 120 years. You have no idea how safe these vaccines are.
If I was under 40 years old, and had no other issues, I would not take one. They have no idea what long term effects these vaccines may have. There is another that will hit the market in the next month or 2 that is more of an Old fashion vaccine, that hopefully won't cause blood clots, nor an enlarged heart. There is no way they should be twisting arms to get these out.
I don’t waste my time with rare risks when the upside is 100% beneficial to me. My concern over this is somewhere between 0 and nothing.

But just as common as SARS-CoV-2 effects with kids, which is orders of magnitude less than adults. That's the thing. We're now looking at a comparative ratio, unlike adults, let alone the elderly.

I hope it reaches full approval by the time my J&J Ad26 hits 2 years. If so, I'll likely opt for it. AD type, let alone mRNA, need another 10-20 years or maturity.
In any case, we'll know 20x by then than we do now. You will never get the 'fortune tellers' to admit that either. Maybe AD and even mRNA end up being fine.
But no one likes to talk about the issues with the influenza mRNA attempt for a reason. And even the Truvada AD type has its critics.

It's more like Unknown Long-Term, 60-70/95-96 AD/mRNA (60/88 for Delta variant) and No, respectively.
Over in the UK they are pushing vaccination on kids now, even though none of them have died from the Delta variant (all have been 50+), and there's no proof they are falling ill. They are just spreading it and, again, there is no proof vaccination stops the spread.
In fact, WHO is back to saying everyone spreads it anyway, it's really a symptomatic v. asymptomatic detail, and everyone should mask up to reduce the distance of ejection.
Which is exactly what people like me have been saying for since spring 2020 about all Coronaviruses. Everyone needs to end the BS about any effective immunity being possible anytime soon at this point.
We were all lied to because people 'hope' instead of actually listening to the REAL SCIENCE that plenty of statisticians, virologists and people actually studying Coronaviruses for the past 15 years have been saying.
The vaccines are largely for reducing death to those 45+. That's it. That's honestly it. That's the only given we have today.
And yet, how often have I been correct?
Vaccinated people are still dying.

We well crossed the alleged, 'effective immunity' assumption before the Delta variant arrived and... guess what?! No change in spread.

I've grown incredibly weary of the BS double-talk coming out of the COVID-19 denier/anti-vax crowd.
First COVID-19 was "just the sniffles" while hospitals all over the country were filled with patients and half a million Americans died of it. They said that given "the overall survival rates," we just needed to 'man up' and die if need be in order to protect our economy.
But after we had vaccines available that would protect us from death or hospitalization if we caught the virus and help our nation achieve herd immunity if most everybody got a shot, the same 'man up' crowd who wanted our economy back open full steam SUDDENLY DECIDED we should avoid a vaccine that will accomplish this very thing. What's wrong with this picture?
So everything now is fine and dandy -- until one of COVID-19's aggressive variants raises its ugly head this next winter. Mark my words: the same posters here will be whining, "See? the vaccines didn't wipe the virus out after all."

The US FDA decided on this weeks ago. Politics took over and .. well ... yeah.
They added the warning label because it's almost entirely UN-reported after the 1st jab. It's not until the 2nd jab are parents reporting the fact that their children, usually young men, struggled with the 1st jab.
Right now we're looking at more than 1 in 10,000 being hospitalized, 10% of those requiring long-term care. That's just the 2nd jab. It's more likely more than 1 in 1,000 with the 1st jab, and hospitalization can be utterly avoided by just NOT getting the 2nd jab.
I have an enlarged heart due to my Conn's Syndrome, and was damaged 2 years until they figured it out, and I'm no longer having any issues, or further enlargement. The existing damage is permanent.
Again, it took 2 years to figure out it was Conn's Syndrome -- which is <1% of heart issues, and usually shows up by 35 (I was 45) -- because I have no blood or other issue they could identify, including my BP being normal. It took an endocrinologist to figure out why my heart was enlarged, because blood pressure medicine did nothing ("just slow the fat guy's heart with beta blockers" -- freaking stupid!) and only made things worse.
It's not my eating (<1,200 calories/day). It's not my exercise (600-1,200 steps up stairs a day). It's really related to my glands and other issues that have 'set in' after my 30s. Traveling 100% most of my career really hurt too, despite my avoiding eating out.
So I'm extremely familiar with enlarged hearts, from being excessively athletic in my youth to learning how much of my Native American (Cherokee) genetics make up my various physical and blood differences as I get older. Now that I know what to look for, I can have them test for various things. Freak things happen in tiny percentages, and they go utterly ignored.
My father had a heart valve fold and calcify. It took various doctors a bit to figure that out, because all of his tests were coming back just fine too.
