Florida House passes bill banning transgender athletes from women’s sports

The reason that the legislatures need to deal with this issue, one way or the other, is because lawsuits take too long and the kids have graduated or the seasons are over by the time the suit can be heard.

Do you just toss in anything random that has nothing to do with the topic about biological males playing in women's sports?
Global warming? Gas prices?
And the US Media sheep just assume we're picking on LGBTQ, instead of getting into the details.

I personally love it when the US Media says, "Why don't we look to our NATO allies?" Because right there, they choke.

The UK Royal Marines didn't even let women at all until 2016. They are like the US Marine Expeditionary Forces/Units (MEFs/MEUs) in requirements. Although in the MEFs/MEUs, you have to be able to carry 155mm shells up the side of mountains.

Most of our other allies don't even have equivalent forces and 'readiness.' Only a few have the 'special forces' that match our 'forward combat units.'

People need to argue with the details, not just what they want to believe. I'm a pro-marriage, pro-LGBTQ Libertarian. But thinking this is about keeping gays/trans out of sports, is just as bad as thinking the military is about keeping gays/trans out, let alone thinking defending Manning is a good thing for serving trans personnel.

Manning, and her lawyers, have caused more harm to serving trans personnel than anything the right winger could ever do. E.g., lack of understanding the issues with Manning, and the arguments her 'complications' with surgery affecting her ability to even serve time in a jail cell, undermines the 'readiness' argument of any serving trans personnel.

BTW, as far as our allies 'readiness,' the Swiss Air Force is only available Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm. If there is a terrorist hijacking or other attack over their territory, the French, German or Italian Air Forces respond for them. No, I'm not making that up. Including the HuffPost, not just the Guardian. ;)

Exactly.

At most this will become a 'professional' level of sport lawsuits, where there is more money, from which we'll either see the end of female sports, or a re-assertion that select transgender women (born biologically male) must either submit to specific chemicals, or be forced to complete only in male, 'professional' level sport.

Now that might actually cause some 'downward enforcement' if transgender women (born biologically male) realize there is no 'upward movement,' as well as more and more schools and universities starting to regulate the same with the 'legal precedent' set at the 'professional' level.

Although I have to point out ... how many people would be curious -- even if abhorred -- to watch a professional, female sport -- if a very strong, athletic, tall, transgender woman started dominating ... say ... the WNBA? Sometimes the more controversy and disgust, the more people are into it.

It probably won't happen in the near future, but expect it to happen at some point, through some window of allowances as anyone who merely 'questions' things is immediately labeled 'bigot.' Especially some of the best female (born biologically female) athletes who find themselves suddenly 'upended,' then labeled 'bigot' for merely pointing it out.
