(New York City) — Project Veritas has released a new report on Google which includes undercover video of a Senior Google Executive, leaked documents, and testimony from a Google insider. The report appears to show Google’s plans to affect the outcome of the 2020 elections and “prevent” the next “Trump situation.”

The report includes undercover footage of longtime Google employee and Head of Responsible Innovation, Jen Gennai saying:

“Elizabeth Warren is saying we should break up Google. And like, I love her but she’s very misguided, like that will not make it better it will make it worse, because all these smaller companies who don’t have the same resources that we do will be charged with preventing the next Trump situation, it’s like a small company cannot do that.

We all got screwed over in 2016, again it wasn’t just us, it was, the people got screwed over, the news media got screwed over, like, everybody got screwed over so we’re rapidly been like, what happened there and how do we prevent it from happening again.”

“We’re also training our algorithms, like, if 2016 happened again, would we have, would the outcome be different?”

Here's the video:

UPDATE: Google has removed the video, which doesn't come as a surprise.

This is no longer a "there's bad people on both sides" situation. All the reeetards screaming about President Trump being a fascist completely turn a blind eye to actual authoritarianism.

Google is absolute garbage. If you want a search engine that isn't leftist propaganda use www.duckduckgo.com

i watched that the other day. now they are trying to silence them and this video. this practice is only going to get worse heading into the 2020 election.

We Libertarians say the opposite. Let everyone do what they want, but they are prosecuted if they don't disclose or lie about where their funds came from.

Full disclosure, instead of 'special interest' where those who 'know the rules' skirt around them. AOC's manager is a perfect example.

1) Project Veritas is not trustworthy they are well known for video manipulation and editing out of context.

2) A company can't be authoritarian. If you don't like it don't use it, it has no power over you.

3) They are talking about preventing Russian interference, bots, and fake news.

Of course Veritas edits the video for public consumption. Everybody who puts out videos for the public does. You can’t just put hours of raw video out and get any effect in this day and age. The mainstream news channels do this regularly as well. Veritas also often releases the unedited raw videos which allow you to draw your own conclusions about how their editing changed the story or didn’t.

In this case, it’s hard to believe Google that it’s Veritas misrepresenting when there have been multiple “whistleblowers” coming out confirming that there is a bias and action towards that bias. Further lending credence, YouTube deletes the video, the whistleblowers get fired, and anyone who is called out instantly deletes their social media profile. None of these in themselves is condemning but, taken as a whole, it does make you feel like there may be fire driving the smoke.

Can you tell me then what part of this Google executive's exact words are fake or "manipulated"?

Android has 86% of the phone and mobile device market.
Everyone has to basically have a Google-GMail account tied to so much else in the Android ecosystem.

Good luck avoiding them and them not knowing everything you do!

It's a narrative, of course, Veritas is very, very narrative-heavy. No argument. But it's based on actual statements kept in that actual context. Now there might have been things left out, but they still made those statements.

That's utterly different than, say, Michael Moore or even Katie Kouric -- an actual journalist -- who is notorious for literally using a different answer to a different question. The "Cages" narrative in the US media was also more of the same, no matter how many times the AP put out releases to ignore debunked and disproven media and the original article from the Arizona Republic. That's actually fraud, not a mis-quote, mis-appropriation or omission, an actual, known, verified false articles, facts and otherwise purposely used media and quotes out-of-context.

That's what pissed me off about the Veritas 'censorship' in the case of Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood reps actually made those statements. They made other statements too, that explained things better, but were not in the video ... but they made those statements with the others. They were factual.

^^^ This hypocrisy right there, and the US media excusing one -- now Google too -- but censoring others, let alone the truth, is why there is a Trump voter block.

Project Veritas has been caught lying numerous times. You can't blame people for simply not just taking their word on things. The thing that first put them no the radar was the Acorn video, which was heavily manipulated. He makes it looks like he walks in dressed as a pimp and gets all this information from Acorn workers on how to do illegal things. But in reality, he didn't walk in dressed as a pimp, and the Acorn workers called the police on him. But somehow, when his video came out it was edited to make it look like they were trying to help him out. But you think people should take him seriously?

Example?

I only remember Veritas getting prosecuted for recording people in states where 2-party agreement is required. I've never heard anyone proving the lied.

Of course their 'full narratives' are suspect, but so is the US media. They leave out various information, and don't give full quotes, cutting how they want, just like the US media. But I've never seen actually forge what someone said as something completely different.

E.g., Katie Couric's infamous "shoulder shrugging" and "don't know" when she asked gun owners what laws they would make, taken from a completely different question, because they gave dozens upon dozens of answers.

That's really the thing.

He added the 'pimp' for effect. But some of them still answered his questions, while others finally 'figured it out' and called the police on him. And some of his reporting on Acorn wasn't wrong, they were actually doing some very questionable things.

He just took it to extremes. He's like South Park at times, no argument.

As I said, Katie Couric has done far worse things.

Real journalism doesn't need effects. He added the Pimp costume to mislead viewers. He lied, plain and simple.

If Acorn was doing questionable things he should have stuck to those things. Instead he edited, embellished, and conveniently left out a lot of information to completely change the narrative, which in the real world outside of partisan politics, is called lying.

As soon as O’Keefe and his partner-in-crime left the ACORN location, Mr. Vera called the police to report the entire incident. It turns out that Vera had been playing along with O’Keefe in an effort to ensnare O'Keefe and Giles whom Vera believed were in the act of breaking the law by proposing to engage in the importing of young women to become prostitutes.

Th
ey were answering questions and playing along to try to get as much information from him as they could because they were going to call the police when they left. Again, these are pretty important details that Project Veritas conveniently left out.

That negates 24x7 News altogether. No, seriously. It's been like that since Richard Jewel, '96.

That's all you got?

Agreed. However ...

That's the US News Media today. Heck, they all 1-up'd him with the "Cages" false narrative.

Yes, I'm well aware.

The thing about Veritas is that they're almost Borat at times. No argument. Yet several of the things they do capture are fact.

Again, no different than the 24x7 News Media these days. That's the thing ... they're all like this now.

Insert Katie Couric, Jim Acosta, etc... They've all taken out and mis-quoted, completely out-of-context, and then some. Acosta cannot even keep his wits about him at times, and stands behind his press pass.

We're killing off the 1st Amendment by abusing it to the point people don't care. So ... your point here is? That we shouldn't listen to anything Veritas shows that's actually true?

The point is how do you trust them to know what is true in the first place? They have lied multiple times.

They aren't almost Borat. The audience of Borat knows it is satire and comedy. Sure, you can get some levels of perspective of things by watching Borat, but is still ultimately a shock comedy show. Project Veritas is meant to be taken seriously and is intentionally misleading its audience. Like the pimp thing. Sacha Baron Cohen wouldn't have edited a pimp outfit in after the fact, he would have worn a pimp outfit to begin with if that is what his approach was going go be. Then, you would have gotten a different reaction from the Acorn people. O'Keefe didn't do that. O'Keefe went in in regular clothes and edited in afterwards to make it appear as if the Acorn workers were accustomed to helping pimps break the law. Again, he is a liar, and if you trust him then you trust a liar.

And you can cut to other media members making mistakes, it certainly happens. But Couric for instance acknowledged and apologized after the gun thing, where as O'Keefe had to be sued and still continues to do the same things. Brian Williams got a major demotion after embellishing a story on a late night comedy show. Judith Miller from the NYT's was fired and heavily criticized in the media, etc etc. So you can certainly find mistakes in the media, nobody is denying that, but there is not a single person in mainstream media who has gone to the levels of O'Keefe to fabricate a story, that still has a job.

Exactly! Same as 24x7 news today.

Bull. People treat it like truth, just like Michael Moore.

SIDE NOTE: I used to be a big Michael Moore fan. But then he went one-sided and wouldn't stop pulling the same BS. Now it's US mainstream media as standard. He led the way.

And you can cut to other media members making mistakes, it certainly happens. But Couric for instance acknowledged and apologized after the gun thing
But she constantly does it on many things, and only, finally apologized when litigation was brewing.

You go on to talk about Brian Williams, but he too has done it insistently, with total denials as well ... until 'caught.'

That's why it's all BS these days. Project Vertias, like Fox News, is just considered 'too far fetched' according to the 'enlightened,' yet, they're actually no different.

All the meanwhile, the US mainstream media is so far 'out-of-touch' with the average American, they literally don't understand why they aren't trusted by a supermajority of Americans either.

So basically, you're just 'proving my point.'

Can you imagine thinking project veritas and 4chan are legitmate news sources?

Holy fuking shit you people are so goddamn stupid it is mind boggling.

Obligatory LOL @ wayne whining about the free market. Such a good Libertarian.

Nobody besides you is under the impression that 4chan is a news publication, they are an aggregate just like twitter lmao

4chan is just like any other forum, and they happen to have enough activity that news is often broken there. Take a look at the front page of /pol/, each "news" piece is a screenshot from a journalist/news publication on twitter
