So, I went to Mission Hospital in Asheville to be treated for covid pneumonia. I spent 10 days there,7 on my stomach. Their protocols are 5 doses of remdemsivere in an IV drip with 14 days of a steroid called deximethicone. It's what they did to me and they swear by that treatment.
prior to being in the hospital, the doctor in Key Largo prescribed me ivervectin, pregnisone and z pack . He said to take zinc and aspirin too. I consulted with my primary care doctor and they said add 9,000 iu of vitamin D and 7500 mg of C. Ivervectin has antiviral properties. I can't say which of this got me home, but I think taking 325 mg of aspirin and the zinc ,maybe the ivervectin early on helped me not to have any micro blood clots in my lungs . I also think monitoring my pulse ox from positive test throughout every day and up to going in the hospital was crucial. I went to the ER with a pulse ox of my 92. My fully vaxxed friend pulse ox was 74 when my wife check up on him. He had blood clots and he passed away last Sunday. The difference is he didn't monitor his pulse ox,he lost his primary which means he had nobody giving advice when he tested positive the week of August 16. Had he taken aspirin , zinc and steroids and he had a doctor guiding him on his pulse ox, I believe he would be alive today.
I am home , recovering and I should be able to head to Orlando next week to see my kid in the MKs and watch the knights destroy Bethune. My liver panel and kidney panel came back fine. I guess remdemsivere didn't harm me.
lastly, my son takes epilepsy drugs . The list of side effects are many including some heart issues and kidney stuff. They stop ,flat out control ,his epilepsy. Life is not always clean and tough choices need to be made. Does my boy not take drugs and have a seizure in the wrong place and time and that kills him or does he take a drug that also has some side effects that potentially harm him,but it stops seizure activity cold?
Maybe remdemsivere does have potential for side effects but the staff at mission told me nearly 100% of the patients that get it , walk out of the hospital to their loved ones. They say it makes a difference.. They also say the steroids and laying prone on your stomach with high volume oxygen at 40 to 60 liters a minute keeps people out of the ICU and off of ventilators.
lastly, I was scheduled to get the shot on August 17 when I got back from the Keys. Covid beat me to it by 12 days. I am thankful to the folks in the keys,my primary and the CoVID staff at mission . I am recovering nicely and they all had a hand in it. Y'all can argue over what works and what doesn't and I can't prove ivervectin worked or remdemsivere worked. I am alive I took it all and if somebody prescribed Hydroxycholoroquin I would have taken it too.
What I don't get is why we don't have better protocols for early treatment? I know several vaccinated folks who got it and I have no issue being vaxxed, but I do have an issue with our nations attitude,. The oh well if it gets worse go to the ER..We can treat people early on so it doesn't get worse . To me this is the true sin of the pandemic.
