NHC Sunday morning has Matthew East of Central Florida early Friday morning. Still long time away in the weather tracking but we could see a nasty weather situation for Friday night's game at Broighthouse. Something to keep in mind and I'm sure we will hear more the upcoming week. Ummm....where are my panchos....

If they have to cancel Friday, would it be feasible to move the game to Saturday? They could plug us in after the ECU@USF noon game on ESPNNews since there's currently nothing in that 3:30 timeslot

You guys are confused. We already have a Hurricane scheduled for November 19th. Tulane is a different act of God. They are the Green Wave (whatever the hell that is. Maybe unhealthy sea water).

Possibly...especially if Tulane can't fly into Orlando on Thursday.

If they do play on Sat...I see it being a Noon game (Tulane has a short week with a game on Friday).

What could be another scenario...is that I just saw UCF and Tulane both have the same BYE WEEKS (Nov 5th), so this conf game could easily be moved to that open date for both.

Just some possible rain and wind. We'll be fine. UCF Fierce.

I would rather them do that than sitting in the rain. A November Saturday sounds like better weather.

that bye would be more needed late in the season, I hope this doesn't get cancelled even if rain bands will make attendance suck

All the stuff I see seems to suggest that there won't be much of a direct impact at all to the area. No models call for a FLA landfall right now. Some rough surf to the coast, but that's it. Maybe some rain, but the storm wont be close enough to be abnormal for the time of year. It will make its closest approach SAT anyway so I think Friday is okay either way.

Edit: I messed up, it does appear to be its closest Friday. But, with storms moving in the general direction it will be, most of the storm will be on the east/north side so it would have to come pretty close in order to have direct effects.

LOL on Cantore. Lets hope it stays offshore and just provides a nice cooling breeze for us! Probably North to NW winds Friday night and gusty. Who knows how strong.

I'm sure this will hit attendance numbers. Game is on TV and with weather this close the fence-sitters will stay home. Thus, looking for any extra tickets. email: damy5@juno.com

It would still have rain bands all night. Not good for a crowd.

Monday 5pm NHC update has Matthew coming pretty close to the East coast of Florida. But, yes, by Friday night is should be cleared out with drier NW winds blowing in. Should be interesting.

on a serious note I hope the models of it going east are the correct ones bc this one is going to cause a lot of damage if it makes landfall anywhere on the East Coast. you don't mess around with Cat4 or 5s

Sorry, but now they've moved the cone back to the west to include Miami, Daytona, Charleston, and all the way up the mid-Atlantic and northeast. If it hits Miami, it bankrupts the state insurance and all the worthless small insurance companies most people bought policies from. And this Congress is so gridlock, Federal aid ain't coming for a long time (ask Louisiana that only now is seeing it).

The only good news, football-wise, is that by Friday nite, the storm may be near Jacksonville. But who knows if we'll have any power.

This doesn't look good. Computer models put the storm just past us at 8PM Friday. How difficult is it to just move it to Saturday if necessary?

The way things look now...85% chance the game is postponed until Nov 5th. Looks like UCF & Tulane both have that date open on the schefule.

Is that the plan? Do you have a source? Isn't it easier to do Saturday?

Problem with Saturday is the aftermath plus Tulane being able to travel here thurs/Friday. Just my opionion. Nov 5 makes the most sense.

With a month to go until the election, there will be lots of federal aid quickly.
