Carville repeatedly suggested the Democratic Party was in danger of following the path of the Labour Party in Britain.
“Look at the British Labour Party,” Carville said. “We’re like talking about people voting from jail cells. Alright, we’re talking about not having a border. I mean, come on people,” he added.
“Of course I would vote for him [Sanders], but I don’t want the Democratic Party of the United States to be the Labour Party of United Kingdom.”

I dislike Pete because he's become too centrist for me personally but if you don't think Pete can beat Trump you haven't listened to him. The mother****er can speak. If he was a little further right he'd be a centrist Republican so he'll be very palatable to republicans who are sick of Trump. He's not for Medicare for all so the socialist card won't be very effective. What would they attack him for?

You snuck a presidential win because the votes were in the right place but when all of the house was up for election 2 years ago republicans lost by 9% nation wide. Dems have taken over state after state since trumpism started, places that i would never expect democrats to be in control, in a lot of states Trump won. It's going to be a race to consolidate voters behind a progressive or a centrist that decides the nom. Pete looked good to represent the centrist side but he also poured basically all his time and resources into Iowa. He needs a top 2 finish in New Hampshire to keep momentum.

Is there a single major state level win where republicans have over preformed since Trump took office? Dems almost won Georgia governor, Texas Senate. We did win an Alabama Senate seat we totally flipped some Atlantic coastal states and Midwestern states that Trump won.
