Pete should win the whole damn nomination. I've said it a million times: he has at least 40 IQ points on everyone else in the field. Dude can debate as well.

“The polling averages have not been very good the last 10 days and I’ve seen some pretty good polls that show enthusiasm among Democrats is not as high as we might like it,” Carville said. “This is not going particularly well, so far and why is Tom Perez still the chairman of the Democratic National Committee, I have no idea. This party needs to wake up,” he added. Later (see 3rd clip below) Carville said, “I know these donors and they’re not going to give a popsicle to the DNC right now. I can promise you that.”
Carville repeatedly suggested the Democratic Party was in danger of following the path of the Labour Party in Britain.
“Look at the British Labour Party,” Carville said. “We’re like talking about people voting from jail cells. Alright, we’re talking about not having a border. I mean, come on people,” he added.
“Of course I would vote for him [Sanders], but I don’t want the Democratic Party of the United States to be the Labour Party of United Kingdom.”
“I mean, I’m 75 years old why am I here doing this? Because I am scared to death that’s why. Let’s get relevant, people, here for sure…All the Sanders people were taking pictures wishing Jeremy Corbyn the best.”

I dislike Pete because he's become too centrist for me personally but if you don't think Pete can beat Trump you haven't listened to him. The mother****er can speak. If he was a little further right he'd be a centrist Republican so he'll be very palatable to republicans who are sick of Trump. He's not for Medicare for all so the socialist card won't be very effective. What would they attack him for?

You say yet "again" like it hasn't been 16 years since a Republican got more votes than a Democrat. You snuck a presidential win because the votes were in the right place but when all of the house was up for election 2 years ago republicans lost by 9% nation wide. Dems have taken over state after state since trumpism started, places that i would never expect democrats to be in control, in a lot of states Trump won. Think about the fact that you celebrate Trump getting up to 45% approval in polls. Good luck with 45% of the vote.

Iowa should be one of the more left leaning state primaries and I think Sanders and Warren only combined for 44% of the vote. That's not looking great for my brand of Democrat. The centrist dems got 56%
It's going to be a race to consolidate voters behind a progressive or a centrist that decides the nom. Pete looked good to represent the centrist side but he also poured basically all his time and resources into Iowa. He needs a top 2 finish in New Hampshire to keep momentum.

Yeah, they are. I'm not saying they arent. Here is the issue, you're discounting that a few states breaking one way or another has a major impact when the clear tend, for the last several elections since trumpism was introduced, has gone.
Is there a single major state level win where republicans have over preformed since Trump took office? Dems almost won Georgia governor, Texas Senate. We did win an Alabama Senate seat we totally flipped some Atlantic coastal states and Midwestern states that Trump won.
Be flippant all you want about #winning but the results of elections since Trump are not good where you have any reasonable population of moderates in a state.
