Malzahn keeping a tight lid on this, but unless there’s a setback, JRP will start on Saturday against Baylor. Don’t ask for a link because it doesn’t exist.

He won't be back this week, but would be surprising if he's not back by Oklahoma. Malzahn has stated this week he is ahead of schedule on rehab.

However, for those that think Plumlee won't go back to being the starter.

In January most thought his performance would lead to open competition. Bring in Hinshaw, and saying its open competition, at no point was it ever a question Plumlee was not the starter. Comments how much better he is this year and therefore no one else is close to him. Plumlee gets the nod everytime if the competition is close. McClain and Plumlee is close, Keene and Plumlee was close. Only way Plumlee doesn't play is if they decide to redshirt him and bring him back next year.

I do think Malzahn relationship with Plumlee had impacts on the decisions of Keene and Castellanos.

It is possible. Vegas seems to know something. The line on the game is -11.5, which is very, very fishy. Dave Aranda has never lost to Gus, and the scores have all been close.

Baylor, however, has one of the worst rushing defenses in the nation, and I didn't think JRP was all that hurt. I think UCF can win this game without him. Could dominate with him.

Baylor has terrible rush defense and a weak offense, they would have to pull a Navy game to lose it.
shhhhhhh, don't say that loudly, Baylor will know how to beat us. Just have the full back or others push the QB through the line for 4 to 6 yards per play :-(

The problem with that statement is under Gus those games seem to come all the time. Navy twice, ECU last year, terrible USF teams took us to the wire two years in a row…I have no faith in this team under Gus to put anyone away let alone an established P5 team.

If the spread is truly -11.5 on UCF, bet the mortgage on Baylor to cover that spread, Gus will find a way to keep them hanging around.

I think Lobo is an AI experiment gone wrong from the highly ranked college of engineering at UM. Do yourself a favor and ignore this bot.
I honestly think he's getting paid some money to purposely piss off UCF fans and poison this board.

He knows what is driving UCF's rise. It's our passion, focus, and determination to be the best.

The line is definitely -11.5 and it STANKS!

The last time UCF beat a P5 team by two scores was last year against Georgia Tech, which sucked so bad it fired its head the the following Monday after the game: https://www.wymt.com/sports/betting...ylor-college-football-odds-spread-over-under/

I have to agree with @Ace of Knights. UCF will have to show me it can put away a P5 program without playing down to its level before I take anything for granted, especially considering the guy Gus is facing is 4-0 against Gus and has only given up 30+ points to Gus once in those four meetings.

So the last time UCF won a home game by 2 touchdowns over a P5 school was the last time they played a home game against a P5 school? Excellent insight as always.

Baylor is trash…they have lost 7 out of their last 8 games. Baylor is 1-3 this year losing to Texas State at home…their one win was against an FCS opponent.

All I know is I am going to the source for this kind of info and nothing says inside UCF source like LoboCane ! GO Lobo ! All hail Lobocane and the U! He is the best deep state mole of UCF football. JRP starts Saturday . Book it .

The firing of the coach on Monday is the point.

How many coaches have been fired immediately following a loss to UCF ever?

When Alabama lost to UCF it directly lead to the firing of their coach and ultimately triggered a series of events of coaches being hired and fired leading to hiring Nick Saban.

During that span, Baylor lost by 1 point to the eventual National Runner Up TCU. Two losses were to Texas, one to Big 12 champ K-State, one to Top 10 Utah, and one to Air Force, arguably the best G5 team in America.

The loss to Texas State is the only head scratcher.

I hate this game. I hate the kickoff time. I hate the disrespect to Baylor with the -11.5 point spread and the honoring the 10-year anniversary of the team that defeated Baylor in the 2014 Fiesta Bowl. I hate Dave Aranda is on the other side of the field. I hate not knowing who the starting quarterback will be. There is nothing I like about this matchup (aside from Baylor's porous run defense). I will be glad when it is over. I know Gus Malzahn will be too.

This is Gus every time he tried to get the dub against Aranda.

3:30 is perfect. 8:00 sucks for me. The students want to leave at Half to get ready to go out. I like 3:30.

I refuse to believe RoboCane has inside information on UCF

If that means the Players Under Pads list, I agree.

PUP - Physically Unable to Perform.

It is when you get a severe case of ED. JRP ain't got no play since the injury, and Viagra is on the banned substance list due to its male enhancement. JRP can try Nugenix and maybe get back in the game.

Regardless, the Baylor grad assistant whose job is to glean social media sites for opposition research has to put this in his report to the head coach. JRP will start.

Hey I heard a rumor on a Rivals site that JRP is starting tomorrow against Baylor . He will be taking snaps out of the Wild Knight formation. Baylor will have all the JRP sandwich it can handle. I also heard Tre Quan Smith is coming back to UCF for one more year of eligibility after the Saints . You know else who left early? Blake Bortles .Why is he building a house nearby if he didn't plan on returning to UCF?

Malzahn said after the game Plumlee was cleared to play Friday. But Malzahn said he did not feel comfortable playing him without Plumlee going through a practice first. Plumlee had only completed 7-on-7 drills.

His status for next week's game at Kansas is still uncertain depending on how he responds to practice this week.

He can’t throw it where it needs to go either. He’s not the savior.
