Why do people care about this? All we should care about is tailgating and seeing the games. People so easily get caught up in things that don't matter. They can have concerts, put up statues or whatever they want to. The point is you are going to see a football game and all that other stuff is just fluff, except the trophy case. Now that would be cool if they built a trophy case showcasing our small stash of hardware outside the stadium that you walked by before entering (of course this will never happen because it would get vandalized almost instantaneously, like what happened at FSU displaying their National Title Trophies). If anybody cares so much about statues, there are plenty of great museums around the world to truly view some astonishing works of art.
