Matt Gaetz

A politician could literally be recorded saying he assaults women and grabs them by the pussy because he’s rich and MAGAts would demand to know who made the recording. It’s a sickness.

That never happened. If it did happen it wasn't a big deal. Whoever took that audio recording of something that didn't happen and isn't a big deal if it did happen is a traitor to the United States*

/sarcasm

Lol. You are triggered by words on a message board all the time. Words. Aka bragging about assaulting women. Lol.
Not really, I'm generally pretty even-keeled when I'm not embarrassing one of yall. There's a reason most everyone here adores me, I say the things many wish they had the honesty to admit with a cool head for the most part.

But yeah, admitting to assaulting to women isn't cool. Assault denotes non-consensual and i'm not a fan of that. Not a fan of groping young girls (and boys?) on video either. I think we can all agree to that, no?

rumors from Florida political circles that this may be similar to Ghislaine/Espstein type scandal

Let's also continue with the head pedo in the White House. Sniffing kids like an old sick man. Lefties? Crickets
Silence to your nutjob Biden rants? LOL Imagine that.

That should tell you something. We usually limit our 'WTF?' silent reactions to the wackos like glaciers.

When Florida legislators passed a bill aimed at preventing people from sharing sexually explicit photos of their ex-partners online, then-state Rep. Matt Gaetz cast one of just two House votes against it.

Six years later, with the now-congressman accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl and sharing photographs of nude women with fellow lawmakers, the sponsor of the Florida legislation says Gaetz opposed it because he believed recipients of such images could use them however they wanted.
Tom Goodson, a Republican who retired from the Florida state House in 2018, told the Orlando Sentinel on Monday that Gaetz was the leading opponent of the nonconsensual pornography bill he spent years trying to pass. He described a meeting in which Gaetz said that if a person gives an intimate photo to a romantic partner, the image becomes the property of the recipient.

“Matt was absolutely against it. He thought the picture was his to do with what he wanted,” Goodson said, according to the newspaper. “He thought that any picture was his to use as he wanted to, as an expression of his rights.”

lmao holy shit imagine being dumb enough to be a republican in 2021 and support this guy.

Not sure anyone supports this guy anymore. Weird he would be the only dissenting vote for bills against revenge porn and sex trafficking but then get caught up in something like this. Almost seems too obvious to not even be believable.

It also doesn't help his credibility that WH insiders have leaked that Gaetz sought a preemptive pardon from Trump before he left office. :)

The attorney representing the likely snitch suggests that a sitting Congressman linked to sex trafficking of a minor isn't feeling very comfortable right now.

I'll let you figure out why that's a big deal.

Awfully big assumption thinking people stupid enough to support trump through all 4 years of his presidency can figure out anything

Only one is actually accused of real and true pedophilia.
LOL. Never let a real underage sex crime by one of our Trumpets' heroes get in the way of their attacks on our President, no matter how silly or stupid they are.

But hey, when the usual 'wild-eyed liberal' lines don't stick with Biden, what are you gonna do? Chuds gotta have their boogieman.

you need to get over Matt Gaetz.

It is ridiculous the lengths they will go to, to either defend, or distract from a terrible person, all because he has the magic R before his name.
That works both ways. Hypocrisy isn't exclusive to one party.

These people are f*cked in the head cult members we have on this board.

Remember when Biden walked into that miss teen America changing room and threatened to grab a pussy? Good times.

Deflecting from Gaetz to Biden has nothing to do with hypocrisy.
That isn't my point. Both political parties rally around and defend someone that has the right letter after their name, even if they know the person in question is a scumbag. This isn't relevatory, we all know it happens.

Gaetz is a creep and nothing that he is accused of would surprise me. Parts of this story seem pretty fantastical though so I haven't got a clue what parts are real and what are just blind accusations.

To a degree yes, but not to this extent. This is a party that has embraced pedophile conspiracies for the last 4 years (started by some nerd who lived in the Philippines btw), to now go out of their way to deflect from it, is a special kind of GOP ass licking.

Yeah, just look at the way folks here rallied around Cuomo a few weeks ago. 🙄

I guess I don't see what you are seeing. Who at this point is blindly on Gaetz's side?

It isnt about being on his side about as much as deflecting from it or barely covering it. Sean Hannity for instance, isnt defending Gaetz, but he also isnt really talking about the story. Tucker had him on the first night the story broke, but I think has moved on pretty quickly. Compare that to CNN or MSNBC, who have covered Cuomo extensively. Hannity knows Gaetz is screwed, so he isnt going to make it a point to outright defend him, but you certainly know that if Gaetz didnt have the magic R by his name, Hannity, would be talking about this every single night. But, as you see on this board, the Q people who have been screaming about pedophiles for 4 years, are quick to change the subject now, and that is the case all over social media.

Given the Q people's so-called 'deep concern for abused children', this about-face has been hilarious to see.

Which is the same as what we see when the roles are reversed. Hunter Bidens laptop is a pretty good example. He's on team (d) so that side of the aisle tends to ignore it or make excuses for why it might not be a real story. It's understandable, but as I said earlier it's not something that is exclusive to one side.

It isnt the same thing at all because Hunter Biden isnt a US congressman or any sort of government official. By comparing Hunter to Gaetz you are doing the exact same type of performative BS I am talking about. You cant say "when the roles are reversed" when one of these guys actually has a say in laws being written, how money is spent, etc. The other is a private citizen with no power what so ever. It isnt a role reversal when their actual roles arent remotely comparable.
