McCloskeys have their firearms confiscated

I know we’re never going to see eye to eye on this specific situation so I am speaking in general terms now - I really hope that you never end up in a potentially dangerous situation because your head is buried so far in the sand I don’t think you would protect yourself and your family if you ever needed to.
There is a Grand Canyon-wide difference between protecting one's family and being triggered by the color of somebody's skin. That's the textbook definition of racism, bub.

These people weren't doing anything other than walking past the McCloskey's home for crying out loud.

One woman's 'reasonable fear' is most non-racists' definition of batshit crazy.
Not missouri. Not castle law related. Not mccloskey related. Not gun related. Not protest or riot related.

You should start a thread about this instead of trying to hijack this one. Maybe title it "white woman doesn't recognize black man". Should go 10-15 pages deep.

Why are you bringing up race again? I specifically said in general and I was not talking about the McCloskey’s situation. Even if I was, it was posted earlier that it was white people who made the threats. Honestly, a lot of the bad stuff happening at BLM riots are being done by white people - I’m surprised that the black people involved with BLM aren’t standing up and saying “that’s not what we’re about.”

Looks like Shucky is pulling out his entire repertoire and bag of tricks. It just won’t work. Can’t get out of the Grand Canyon when you’re drowning in the Colorado River

That woman is an idiot. I was actually very annoyed watching it as the man seemed to be well versed in experiencing this type of behavior. He made her look dumb

She’s lived life in a bubble. Watching too much American TV news shows.

Not sure what ridiculous point that you’re trying to make here

Because it's been the dirty little undercurrent of this whole damn discussion. But let me guess: all the talk here about "mobs" and "breaking into" the gated community were all made totally color-blind.

You've been one of the more reasonable posters on this subject but look at this past quote of yours:
I know that everything going on is peaceful....
Yes it was. This was, by all accounts, a peaceful protest. Yet you still felt the need to justify the McCloskey's batshit crazy gun stunt by adding:

just ignore the police cars being set on fire, the bottles, bricks, and fireworks being thrown at officers, the church that was lit on fire and the police stations/federal buildings/courthouses that they are trying to take over and burn to the ground.... all peaceful stuff.
So basically, if something happens somewhere, it's automatically a 'justifiable fear' to whip out guns? Really??!?

Maybe in your mind race has been in the undercurrent of the discussion, but the rest of us went 3 pages deep talking about the law.

:) :) :) :) :)

Yeah, it's a real mystery, huh?
Congratulations! You have completely changed the subject, but the only thing that came out of it is that you’re a racist

The next time an asteroid is about to hit Earth, we can make sure to call the master of deflection

Whoops. Videotape shows the broken gate, protesters in the McCloskeys yard, and the organizer of the protest says that they disregarded the fact that it was private property.

In other news, some white chick asked a black guy where he lives. Live updates on the 9's.

The organizer literally said they were breaking the law. Yes, I noticed the fact that he's black and it makes no fvcking difference to me.

I heard an interview with Mr. McCloskey about the felony charge against his wife. Apparently, the gun that she carried was made non-functional so that they could use it as a prop in court. Because it was a non-functional weapon, she cannot be convicted of flourishing. The prosecutor was told by the PD that the weapon was non-functional and would need to be fixed in order to be able to test if it was capable of firing. So they fixed it, then fired it, then deemed it capable of firing so that they could charge her with the felony. After they fixed it because they couldn't test it because it wasn't capable of firing.

But "justice" needs to be served, which in this case means that the awkward rich people that threatened the righteous protesters must be found guilty of a crime.

The fact that these people are being charged with anything is a total joke.

Evidence tampering is a crime.

Don't get your panties all in a wad over the McCloskeys. The Missouri Gov. has already said he'll pardon them so it's all good.

Law and order against Godless mobs hellbent on death and destruction has been protected! :)

I think whoever ordered and conducted the evidence tampering should be punished for doing so. Talk about a sure fire way to get someone out of a conviction, sheesh.
