IDK, I'm not an economist. I do know that this isn't the result of "them newfangled computers" because I am not a moron.
I also know I'm not a fan of taxes, and bailouts, and both of those are happening now because of trump.

So glad I moved to bonds earlier this week. Good, not great, timing. With China, now Mexico, and even India, in Trump's sights, the chickens are coming home to roost. It's been 3 (or 4) months since the yield curve inverted, and now many economists are finally predicting recession. Even going as far as to say we need to start dropping rates again! LOL.

A lot of this needed to happen, especially with China. The Mexico move was stupid though, no argument.
Trump needs to be focused on long-term trading partners as the US pivots away from China. China was a good move for the Cold War-era by Nixon, but outsourcing during late Bush Sr., Clinton, W. and Obama needs to be reversed.

The reality is ... if this forces American domestic production for the long-term, and pivots us away from China, I'm fine with that. It's gonna be painful, but we probably need it. I could care less if Trump gets blamed, as long as the results 5-7 years from now are showing what I was hoping. Another administration will get credit, but that's just the reality.

We'll probably get a New Green Deal out of it, which will be somewhat of a farce that FDRs was, but people will laud it. I just hope we don't get WWIII and China goes even more nationalists and starts looking at conquesting resources it needs with the US pull-out.
