New HC will be named Monday

I don't believe Jamey Chadwell will be the next head coach at UCF. I believe he would have already signed his contract if he wanted this job. Just giving my opinion.

Ryan Day may try his luck in the NFL but If I'm TM, I talk to Day just to hear what he has to say. Who is under the radar in the NFL? Currently Frank Smith, the OC of the Miami Dolphins, could possibly be hired away for the right price. Smith is a former OC at Boston College.

I'm no fan of Mohajir, but what do you want him to say?
Complete silence (not even acknowledging publicly that Gus has left) is not standard operating procedure. He hasn't even put out the "Starting a national search" message. WVU's AD had a full press conference after they fired Neal Brown but nobody has seen Terry during any of this.

I'm guessing Mohajir's reasoning would be, "Well it was Gus' decision to leave, I didn't fire him." (Although I'm sure he was heavily involved in getting all the monetary details hatched out) He doesn't need to say anything about the search for the HC, he just needs to do it.

Personally, with the other open jobs and a few different candidates, I wouldn’t say a word to anybody. He’s got no responsibility but to hire the best person and I’m sure he’s talking with the people he needs to talk to get that job done. JMO

Lincoln Riley has no buyout if he leaves I guess that's why UCF contacted him, but if he gets fired he gets $90 million.

So he is going to leave USC voluntarily and forgo his $10 million/year and $90 Million buyout if fired.

Been a UCF fan for 40 years now. For the most part UCF has put an exciting brand of football on the field and I would expect that from Frost. The past few years this team has almost been unbearable to watch on Saturday's. At this point for selfish reasons I want that excitement back. I'll chip in $5 to the Frost Fund if that helps.
40 year fan here too!

If I were the A.D. my next words to the press would be an introductory conference of the new coach. Anything else is for show and really does nothing.

Lincoln Riley talks sound like Mohajir is throwing random darts at a board. I imagine in these talks there is mention of Caleb Williams transferring to UCF too.
Has Terry reached out to Nick Saban and Urban Meyer yet? I mean, if we’re going to start asking all sorts of coaches outside of our budget… we need to get a new coach for about $4-5 million per year. So what coach fits both the budget, play style, and brand for UCF?

No matter who the coach is, they need a good QB. Frost, Riley or any defensive coach. I think it’s easier to get a good one in Florida than Nebraska. It really makes no difference who we get. Gus would have been good with a good QB. He just didn’t know how to get them. FSU doesn’t have one either.

Not when the Florida school is UCF, just they way it is. Their current 5 star QB is just one in a long line of examples. Money talks (or screams in college football 2024) and UCF doesn't have much.

Which is why I hate where College sports are at this time. It should never have been allowed to become about the money. Look I know all of the young men are dreaming about the pros but the fact is the vast majority of them never will be. Sticking with a school and getting a good education should be primary and that is definitely no longer the case.

It has always been about the $$. Just not hidden like in years past.
