NHL Playoffs

^yeah man, it was pretty crazy. Did the cheering for the fallen ref (near the end of the third period) sound as loud in the arena as it did on TV?

How sweet to come to brooklyn and take two from the brooklynders and to take them both in overtime when they had the games in hand. I will enjoy working out tomorrow in the lightning gear.

Hedman is an absolute beast. If he weren't a defenseman he'd be talked about as being one of the best players in the NHL. I've never seen a guy that big who can skate that well and score goals that well.

I hope the Pens can close their series out in 7 since I'd much rather face them.

TB is the hottest team in the playoffs right now, 8-2. It's all about catching fire in the playoffs and right now we're doing it. Let's hope it continues.

Hopefully we can get one or both of the injured back soon.

I wouldn't bring Stralman back unless he's absolutely 100%. They're playing great without him and sticking a still semi injured guy into the lineup could disrupt things.

Drouin is a freaking wizard with the puck. That board drop pass to Hedman was as perfect as it gets.

I hope so too. Need as much rest as possible. Really hope we can get Stralman back for conference final.

85, I agree with you but whomever TB plays in the next round will be a much better team than the previous two teams TB has played to this point. I believe with Stralman, Stamkos and Brown back in the lineup, TB is by far the best team left, IF Dallas gets eliminated which I believe they will.

the Lightning are quietly taking care of business quick. Wonder if there is any chance of Stamkos returning in the next series

They say X-rays are negative but X-rays don't see what MRI's do and my guess is that will show what happened. Just a freak accident from what I could see, I doubt he is back anytime soon but who knows. The fact that this team can lose the players it has and still win tells me that is 100% healthy there is no team in the NHL that could beat them in a seven game series.

We played great but Pittsburgh really didn't impress me. We won 3-1 and missed 2 additional goals by an inch in the first few minutes of the game. If we can keep everyone ELSE healthy I think we can win this series.

IMO Bishop is not as injured as it appears but Cooper will go with Vasy as long as he can. Next game is huge- going up 2-0 assures that they can play Vasy for at least another 2 games after that and return Bishop for game 6 if totally needed.

It's unreal that Bishop played the entire season healthy yet got injured in the playoffs again on a freak injury.

Still cant believe they are doing this well even with all these injuries. I know the Pens are going to give it everything tonight. I hope we can weather the early storm and just grind out a win.

Can't believe no one posted about the game tonight. Would have liked to see the Bolts take another one in shittsburgh.

Pittsburgh is clearly the better team, out shot 2 to 1 for the second night in a row. Pitt came out flat in game one and TB won, I see the series going like the TB vs. Islander series in reverse.

For the 10 millionth time, I'm not a hawks fan, Copernicus. I rooted for the bolts to beat them last year. Of course you don't remember that.

Why don't you try again. Here are a few: How about "glad I was wrong!!!" Or "what was I thinking" or "wow they've bounced back" or "like most things, I don't know dick."
I'm very glad I was wrong but anyone that watched the first three games would have come to the same conclusion. TB was incredibly outplayed, I didnt get to see the game last night so I don't know how they played but if TB end up winning this series I have no problem admitting I was wrong.

Much better.

Kucherov is everything that Crosby wishes he could be in the Playoffs.

I'm beginning to think that we can let Stamkos walk to keep this young group together. I also think Yzerman is leaning towards trading Bishop to collect some key new additions and hand over the team to Vasy next year. It'll come down to that decision one way or another soon enough.

Somehow managed to get the win despite the refs looking the other way for the Pens. I admit I had a bad feeling we would lose it in OT. Just felt like they would have the momentum with the home crowd. Glad I was wrong.

Just need to seal the deal at home.

I fukcing hate Pitt fans of any sport. Winning tomorrow night would be fabulous.

85 has an interesting take on Stamkos and Bishop and I thing I agree. Vasy is playing great and this young core got us where we are today. We can definitely pull in some extra talent trading Bish.

Kuch is a fukcing monster.

Should've had 2 skater advantage at one obvious missed tripping

Honestly I think the plan all along was to make this Vasy's team when he was drafted. Bishop's outstanding play has just made the process more difficult since he's arguably a Top 3 goalie.

At the end of the day, Bishop is 30 and Vasy is 21. Vasy could play as the franchise goalie for 10-12 years if they can keep him.

I think Stamkos is gone based purely upon the payday they'll now be owing to Kucherov, Killorn, and Drouin.

Definitely an interesting scenario but out there by 85. Stamkos isnt as important to the overall future of the franchise as some of the other players going forward. Yea he scores a lot, and that makes the fans happy, but a serviceable forward is all that is needed as proven in the playoffs.

Kucherov and Killorn need to get paid. Dont know about Drouin, but if Stamkos leaves, I guess he needs something. More concerned about keeping Hedman/Stralman.

Bishop is somewhat of a liability because of injuries. Tough call going forward with him though. Vasy will certainly need a bigger contract going forward, and likely a starter in the near future for another team. If we keep Bishop, we should look to trade Vasy and sign another promising goalie to back him up when he inevitably gets hurt.

Had the same conversation last night, Bishop is great but he is with more to another team than Tampa and I think Stamkos is gone either way.

The Lightning have been outplayed for most of the series. Pitt just looks better but possibly made the series changing mistake with the goalie decision last night. Lightning have to take the gift & close it out Tuesday or I think they lose in 7

What are you talking about? The Lightning were clearly better in Game 1, Pitt was much better in 2/3, but TB was absolutely dominant for 2 periods in Game 4 sans a 10 minute stretch in the 3rd, and last night's game was damn near even in every category. Except Pitt had 9 giveaways to TB's 1.

Also not all shots are equal. In many games they've registered high shot totals but only a handful of them were legit scoring opportunities.

We got taken out behind the woodshed last night. This team needs to find the fire in their belly if they want to advance. Pitt made it look like we were standing still the first 2 periods.
