The D's will need a Russia conspiracy talking point ASAP since that was a great speech and just helped Trump out tremendously. 79% of CNN respondents in their poll said they viewed the speech favorably.
I saw about 10 minutes of it. I really liked what he had to say regarding infrastructure and healthcare. I hope it gets done. The Dems looked like sore losers, refusing to stand when he made promises on issues they traditionally favor. Elizabeth Warren looked like she was going to cry.
I watched. He did a nice job. It must have been good--I see absolutely no rage from my Facebook friends who have been bitching about every god dam thing he's done since day 1.
They haven't been told what to be outraged about yet. Probably this afternoon.
I wish I could read lips better .......there was a camera shot of Pelosi at the end of the speech and she said something to the person next to her and the only word I could read was "speech".
Based on her body language, I wonder if it was a "That wasn't a bad speech" comment?
Even as a democrat, I thought the speech was good. I just wish he used this type of temperament more often. It shows its effectiveness to the people just based on the speech poll numbers.
He delivered some good ideas. Just have to see how it can all get budgeted and actually done.
I'm still not a fan of his health care reform ideas. I just don't see age based tax credits, HSAs, and Medicaid roll backs as a cure for all. Middle class will like it but lower middle class or people below the poverty line will go back to getting screwed.
It's the republicans show. Full power with no excuses. If it works out great, if not we'll be hearing more loaded talking points in 3.5 years.

I know deporting illegals and containing illegal immigration was a good enough reason to elect him. Few people think he'll deport all the illegals, but even deporting half would be a huge improvement.
Trump will hopefully be a stepping stone. If he deports half the illegals things get better in America. The worst thing for the right-wing is pessimism that we can't change things. Trump is proof that things can change.

As usual, Bernie goes on and on without offering solutions. If blacks aND Latinos are in jail in numbers out of proportion to the population, then it is because they commit crimes out of proportion to the general population and not because of a broken legal system.
