Bless Scott Frost's heart for having to put up with this dumpster fire.
He was just downgraded.Since he's no longer going to NC St. and will attend UCF shouldn't he be downgraded to a 2 star??![]()
I think he meant the 2004 class had 22 with 14 on the line, not 2014. He was referring to GOL's first class when he was hired, when they had a late start.Where did you see we brought in 22 with 14 on the lines? I saw 17 with 7 being on the lines.
wasn't UCF in the MAC back then? The Program was in a completely different situation and in a conference with a much lower level of competition than the current AAC, Frost is not going to take any warm body just to get numbers up.I think he meant the 2004 class had 22 with 14 on the line, not 2014. It works kind of like how betting lines are set in vegas for games. Certainly there is a degree of evaluation at the beginning, but as you get closer to game day/signing day it becomes more and more about balancing the books. The fans of big name schools pour a lot of money into rivals, espn, etc and they expect to see that their recruiting classes are elite. If rivals says they're marginal and ESPN says it's stellar, guess where they spend more time / money?Wait, kids get downgraded for the school they pick? WTF?
NOTE: Somewhat interesting to see these former P5 Offensive Coordinators struggling in Year 2 of their tenure.
Tulsa HC Montgomery was OC at Baylor and SMU's Morris was OC at Clemson.
Also, last year, UCF finished way ahead at the #1 recruiting ranking in AAC with an overall class average rank of 2.82 while the next team with a 2.60 was S. Florida
I think that underscores the importance of winning this year. I think both of these guys recruited well last year, but recruits seem to have less patience than even fans for results.
Since some recruiting classes are virtually full while others will get more verbals/signees by next Wed, here's a look at average star rating by program per latest ranking: (overall rankings also give points based on quantity, not just quality)
http://sports.yahoo.com/footballrecruiti...16/AAC/all
1) Houston 2.95 (20 recruits)
2) S. Florida 2.80 (15)
3) UCF 2.46 (13)

5) Cincinnati 2.44 (17)
6) Memphis 2.36 (17)
7) UCONN 2.29 (14)
8) ECU 2.21 (15)

Actually it was worse than it is now. We were in the MAC and not doing particularly well. Coach K was fired, there was no discipline in the program and we were in a downward spiral. We had gone 3-9 the year before beating only Buffalo, Central Michigan and FAU. O'Leary came in late and proceeded to have a heart attack, which hampered recruiting ability. What made it worse is that there was no foundation upon which to build. We had a few talented skilled players, but no lines and no depth at any position. We also had no history to speak of to work with.
We are coming off 0-12, but there is talent on the roster and a foundation in the program to work off of. There is no need for Frost to panic, but he will need bodies.
Lucky. If this is true, it's huge. 6'7" DE that runs a 4.65 40 and can jump.So there is some noise on Twitter about a new commitment. Is this true? Have not seen anything.

About time. Nobody found it unusual that Ole Miss suddenly started recruiting top 10 classes and 5 star players?ot but this news is not surprisingwonder if Tre out of Viera reconsiders signing w ole miss
add in the very recent racial tension on that campus, it never made sense how so many top players want to go thereAbout time. Nobody found it unusual that Ole Miss suddenly started recruiting top 10 classes and 5 star players?

The amazing recruits we signed? None played on our team and one guy QB D. Smith supposedly got a used laptop. Also, the person that represented him was never charged with any crime. Apples and oranges. I wish we had a class close to Ole Miss.right now Old Miss has the #4 ranked class. You know there is definitely a correlation between cheating and success. Just look at the amazing recruits we signed right before we got dinged for violations.
