President Trump approval at 39% after confirmed obstruction of justice

So basically you are saying the largest population centers in the country are just isolated pockets. That is a weird take.

Nope the largest concentrations of populations content to rely on government subsidized entitlement programs........that is changing though because unemployment is approaching 50 year lows. If the economy keeps thriving 2020 will be a GOP slam dunk

I'm not trying to get in to a pissing match but using acreage is not a good take.

Newsflash, those little boxes on the map are voting precincts........I will break that down for you, more people in far more voting precincts voted for Trump

What about the rural red state areas that are "content to rely on government subsidized entitlement programs"? Are they just isolated pockets, or do they fall into your mainstream America?

incumbents normally win. this isnt breaking news. especially when the country is doing well.
Exactly. People are afraid of change when it’s not necessary. All the Trump theatrics go out the window when it’s time to vote.

What percentage of incumbents have won in the past 50-100 years?

I guess 75-85%

I love it when people post this map thinking they won an argument. It is a surefire sign they are an idiot

Congrats, land where no one lives voted for Trump.

Wow that map is basis for the election of every United States president since 1789! Your comment not only proves your ignorance but your arrogance as well!

Cool, you and everyone else who uses that map is a actual idiot. I don't give a shit what empty land "votes". The number of people voting is what matters.

How ironic says the guy accusing people of making personal attacks........

Not according the the Federal government of the United States....perhaps you can go live in Mexico or Canada if you don't agree and want to crap on our election process......

I don't know how to explain it any simpler, but when you are trying to brag about "red country" that is literally empty land that has two country bumpkins who have zero forks in their tree voting Trump, and you people brag about it on here is just sad. Our public education system has failed us.

Plain and simple It Matters!!!, If it didn't Trump wouldn't be POTUS. It is amazing that you don't get that. But hey at the end of the day, I go to sleep thrilled about my country, the election process, the economy, and my President. You on the other hand are bitter, have your panties in a wad, are pissed at system, pissed at the President, and are loosing sleep over it. MAGA and god bless the United States of America!

Ninjaknight = Definition Of TDS

It’s glaringly obvious. Trump won, so the electoral college sucks and it’s the popular vote that matters. That’s how he thinks

Literally nothing you said about me is true, but I don't know why I expected a red hat to use truth and logic in their debate.

BTW it's "lose" not "loose". No wonder Trump keeps his speeches at the 4th grade level, gotta make sure your base can keep up.

Poor red states have the largest percentage of welfare recipients though. So your narrative falls apart. These states take more from government programs than they pay in while rich blue states subsidize them.

Nope, just more lefty propaganda......Per capita, 8 of the top 10 welfare states are blue....So based upon real data my narrative is spot on.....

The wealthy blue states take in more money per capita than they pay out due to people there being wealthier. Red states take in less revenue and pay out more than they take in. Subsidized by the blue states. 16 of the top 20 states in terms of percentage of people on welfare are republican strongholds.

The point was people in red states that bitch about social welfare (an expenditure by the federal government that pales in comparison to corporate welfare) are much more likely to need it. There is a county in Kentucky that 90% are on government assistance and the vote 98% Republican.

I glanced at the link and fundamentally it makes sense with regards to federal funding dependancies. What I don't agree with is that those underlying economic factors have anything to do with influencing most voters in these states. Those in need of assistance and government subsidies generally don't give a rats ass where the money is coming from......the fact remains there is clearly a correlation with per capita welfare spending and a high degree of liberal constituency in those states.......

You seem to be much more level headed and logical than most of your lefty peers...regardless I am gonna still have to disagree...Im going back to the other forum, much less stressful than debating politics

:)

You're still joking right? Do you understand population density?

Do you understand that whether you like it or not, whether you agree with it or not the electoral process is how the United states has elected presidents since 1789, regardless of population density. So despite what you think it doesn't freakin matter! Trump won the election by this process so quit ****ing whining and get over it! MAGA and God Bless America!!!!!

There is also a correlation with per capita spending on welfare and average income. You can’t compare a wealthy state that spends more per capita when their income levels may be double that of a poor state. The differences in per capita welfare spending pale in comparison to the differences in median income levels. You look at a state like California and 10% are on government assistance. The national average is 13%. Some red states exceed 20%. I am in favor of social welfare programs. It just seems many people that rely on such programs don’t vote with their best interests in mind. But rather want to “win” in another way. To really stick it to “leftists” who on average benefit less from social welfare programs than republicans do.

The electoral college is the only way a Republican President has been elected in more than 30 years. Demographics are shifting and the only way for them to maintain some control is through gerrymandered congressional districts, the electoral college, voter suppression, and an impressive faux news disinformation campaign.

"The way we have Constitutionally chosen Presidents since 1787 is the only way these Republicans are winning elections!!!!!"

I love it. You guys are so shook and desperate that you're now lumping the electoral college with faux "voter suppression" and whiny rants about Fox News.

You're really showing your ass and what's frightening is that there are people liking your incoherent posts for no other reason than you're on the same team.

You'd be surprised, I probably agree with you a lot more than you think but you would never take the time to try and learn that bc you're too busy screaming "MAGA" and "leftists". Calm down. You're simply not making sense here.

Your whole map point started over discussion of the "silent majority". You then produce a map of voting precincts that is 95% red. If your argument is that the majority of square miles and/or precincts are red then fine... ZFG. That's nothing to debate.
But Trump did not get the majority of votes from the people. Why are you arguing otherwise? You keep saying if you take out leftists then he has the majority .... Ummm OK? What an odd point. Yes, he won the majority of EC votes but nobody is disputing that and this isn't an EC discussion.

Goddam you people will argue over the dumbest shit and its proof you have zero intention of having an actual conversation. You just want to yell.

All you simply had to say is he had a silent majority of Electoral College votes if that was the profound point you were trying to make. To try an insinuate it's a majority of voters is just not true.

It seems the point you were really trying to make is that the majority of Americans are not leftist extremists. Yea, obviously most people are somewhere in the middle... That's how normal distribution tends to work. Congrats?

Democrats could have simply amended their platform and party to conform to the reality that people actually do live in middle America, and that not everyone lives in San Fran, LA, and NYC.

But nah. Middle America is where those Deplorables live that HRC so correctly noted. Screw them and screw that - ABOLISH THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE!!!!

So, when it worked for Barry not once, BUT TWICE in the electoral college, were you bitching like this?
When what worked for “Barry”? “Barry” won the popular vote and electoral college in a landslide. No Republican has been elected President via popular vote since 1988. That was the point. No, there was no need to “bitch” the times that the candidate that received the majority of the votes won and it happened that the antiquated system we used to select presidents agreed.

Bro...I get what you are trying to do...but these people literally do not care about the truth anymore. They would rather listen to Trump's lies that make them feel good, than actual reality that they don't like.
