Quite a stark contrast between the militarization of Lafayette Square in DC last June compared to what appears to be a pitiable law enforcement response to protesters taking over the Capital building today.
I hope they prosecute everyone that broke the law today. Each and every one. I’m glad to see much of the Republican leadership expressing similar thoughts.

A revolution for what? What does this "revolution" even stand for? Overthrowing elections? Making Trump president for life? None of that is going to come true and this isnt a revolution. It is right wing terrorism.
I would like someone to explain: 1) how protesters were able to 'force themselves' inside the Capital building; and 2) why protesters were allowed to remain in the Capital building all afternoon.
Because there was no national guard in place. The capital police were not going to start a violent confrontation with armed protesters.
Somebody obviously dropped the ball. This was a planned event, they knew this could happen. They clearly should have been more prepared.
