I’m betting he leaves in a couple months. Unless he has a few kids on current roster he wants to keep coaching. I doubt it though. We’ll circle back in a year or two when Deion’s kids leave and then Deion leaves

We had two top-notch WRs just last season. The drop-off in QB play along with any other WR stepping up this season to help Kobe has obviously resulted in our dismal results. There’s been guys open a lot and they don’t even get a look, and at the same time the QB then throws into double/triple coverage or throws a dud.i don't blame any top receiver who looks at our offense and says "nah, that's not for me." it tells me they care about their development and future. he's like i want to be the one in the photo putting out winner energy, not loser energy fanboying after being shut down.
Won't be surprised if this isn't the last.
He’s going to a religious school? That’s an odd place to go after a Power University.I suppose this is good news?
this could be a sign that he isn’t sure Gus will have a job in January and he decided to take the first opportunity to get outI suppose this is good news?
You could be right. There is much more open criticism of Gus lately and some sports writers talk his seat may be getting hot. His giving up calling plays again and talk of just being the CEO is another indicator something may be up as is the firing of Roof. However, his other coaching changes make not sense to me.this could be a sign that he isn’t sure Gus will have a job in January and he decided to take the first opportunity to get out
He’s doing this in hopes they do bad and then can say, this is what you guys wanted.1. Rookie play caller mid season?
2. Inept DC from last year now the DC?
3. What do you mean it doesn't make sense?
🤦♂️
4 Decommits in a week.
To save money on his buyout???So let me get this straight…
- We’re losing recruits
-Recruiting is Gus’ single positive trait
Why are we keeping him?
So the trade off is we save money today, but continue regressing as a program which decreases future revenue. To save money on his buyout???
I'll say it again, again and again.
So the trade off is we save money today, but continue regressing as a program which decreases future revenue.
Already seeing it in the stands. It’s definitely not looking good from the discourse online. I don’t care for the direction this program has been going the past year and the negative vibes are compounding.
Nor do I. I say take the money hit now and move on but I bet he's given another year.So the trade off is we save money today, but continue regressing as a program which decreases future revenue.

The signs are pointing in another direction. SJ left and the recruits are hearing Gus is leaving.Nor do I. I say take the money hit now and move on but I bet he's given another year.
That's why one shouldn't pay attention to Booms, esp. with Bust at the helm.We went from having a top 25 recruiting class for 2025 to now being ranked number 62. Number 62. Let that sink in. Now tell me there is not a problem with our coaching staff. If this is how we’re going to end up recruiting for this year, we might as well go ahead and write off next season as well, because we’re not going to improve at this rate. Terry needs to address this before it totally gets out of hand. Such a massive drop is a definite sign something is not right. 9 decommits so far. Unreal.🤬
Don’t tease us. This would be an early Christmas gift. They are decomitting because Gus is stepping down to be with his wife.
All signs are pointing that way. He will get a portion of his buyout and won’t get embarrassed with being fired. Win win.Don’t tease us. This would be an early Christmas gift.
What "signs" do you speak of? The fact that he's looked checked-out a month ago?All signs are pointing that way. He will get a portion of his buyout and won’t get embarrassed with being fired. Win win.
That and all of the decomitts. We weren’t good last year either so losing alone wouldn’t cause this. They know he’s leaving so open recruitment now. What "signs" do you speak of? The fact that he's looked checked-out a month ago?
That de-commits have nothing to do with Gus Malzahn retiring or not. Unlike last year…these are kids other programs want. Two years of losing changes the perception .That and all of the decomitts. We weren’t good last year either so losing alone wouldn’t cause this. They know he’s leaving so open recruitment now.
