OMG, you’re right. This has to be Trump using his close ties to Putin to get him to invade Ukraine in order to make Biden look weak and ineffective so that Trump can win in 2024.It seems pretty coordinated.

Trump has nothing to do with it. I maintain this is all about the dollar.OMG, you’re right. This has to be Trump using his close ties to Putin to get him to invade Ukraine in order to make Biden look weak and ineffective so that Trump can win in 2024.
^^^^^still doesn't understand the definition of imminent.Bump
Wtf does this have to do with Russia and Ukraine?Means they manufactured the covid response to close down the economy for a political gain. They manufactured the voting in dropboxes for an advantage to not verify votes. They manufactured oil dependence. The economy is going to sh!t which will lead to more dependence on the government.
I took his comment to mean the US media needs to come up with another story to latch on to in order to distract the US public from the events that will have adverse impacts on the current administration.Wtf does this have to do with Russia and Ukraine?
Called it. Putin just threatened to launch cyber attacks on us if we get involved.I wonder if Joe regrets giving Putin a list of targets that are off-limits for cyber attacks right now.
Oh wait, he's probably asleep.
At some point, with enough Ukranian resistance ... Russian 'pacification' will start becoming like it was during Afghanistan, as well as South Ossetia (Georgia) more recently. If that happens, then the world will very much turn against Russia.
And that's a very credible threat. They have extensive capabilities too.Called it. Putin just threatened to launch cyber attacks on us if we get involved.
We are responding with sanctions, they have been pretty clear about that.
But not cutting off their ability to sell petroleum products. Our response is toothless, but we did that to ourselves. We are responding with sanctions, they have been pretty clear about that.
It isnt toothless and they always have the ability to go further. This is a nuclear superpower with a nutjob running their country, we have to have some levels of caution with this. But not cutting off their ability to sell petroleum products. Our response is toothless, but we did that to ourselves.
It absolutely is toothless. They are still selling oil in the global market, therefore making a ton of money off of this. But we can't do a damn thing about it because it would destroy the dollar if we did.It isnt toothless and they always have the ability to go further. This is a nuclear superpower with a nutjob running their country, we have to have some levels of caution with this.
We can’t cut off Russia’s ability to sell oil when 7% or more of our oil is imported from Russia and our President is taking heat for high gas prices coming into a midterm election (Not to mention the hidden price increases in everything from cosmetics to plastics due to oil components). But not cutting off their ability to sell petroleum products. Our response is toothless, but we did that to ourselves.
Biden wanted to kick Russia out of Swift but Germany and Italy won’t agreeGrossly underwhelming press conference. Why all the smiles? ...I feel sick and anger for the Ukraine people, and I'm just a regular citizen. As the leader of the free world, stay composed, but never express any form of levity, wtf?
I appreciate the input, but then use today's platform to pressure allies to enforce the strongest sanctions as possible... But even Biden himself seemed reserved. I heard one question about sanctioning Putin himself, and he ignored it... What else is he waiting for?
Germany. Italy. Russia. Pretty interesting alliance, particularly when you add China into the equation.
Anyone looting stores, stealing Nikes? ...perhaps this is what a true protest looks like, and not a theft opportunity
Ukrainian resolve is impressive from what I've seen on TV, of course we know media can distort things, but if real, they are very admirable... Civilians, military, and government leadership... One dude from the government acknowledged he's a target of Putin and remained calm and determined to hold his ground, displaying his firearm.
I'm already prepared for an invasion... Deterrence is the best defense.
Russia stock market is down 50%. Sanctions certainly take time to be felt, and they can, and probably will even go further at some point, but this idea that they are pointless is nonsense. The same MSM bs about "tough" sanctions have been almost universally panned as weak by everyone but CNN 💰 🤦♀️

Putin had his ducks lined up. Doesn't need swift. Doesn't need petro dollars. In rubles, the Russian stock market is not ... "down 50%" . Short term manipulation of the currency on international exchanges is one thing the West can do temporarily. After Crimea, Sberbank ralled 90% off the bottom in the next year.
Lukoil is already up 60% off the lows and Sberbank is up 75% off the lows. Both are flush full of gas and oil money. They aren't going belly up, and present compelling opportunities. At one point, Sherbank was yielding close to 50% dividend.
