Spring 2024 Transfer Portal Thread

Freshman???

Cracking Up Lol GIF

Like who? Go ahead. I’ll wait. There was literally nobody Miami wanted.
Miami missed out on James Madison cornerback D'Angelo Ponds in the transfer portal over the weekend with the Broward County native electing to follow the coaching staff who signed him out of Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna Prep to Indiana. The Hurricanes are still in the market for some help in the secondary and they hoping to further involved themselves for another South Florida native.

Penn State safety King Mack didn't get a ton of burn as a true freshman for the Nittany Lions last fall, but he's become one of the more coveted defensive back in the spring transfer portal window.

Alabama hosted the Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas product over the weekend, and InsideTheU learned that Mack is a top priority for the hometown Hurricanes as well.

Jaden Mangham as well

Pounds is not a safety. He’s a nickel CB and King was not a guy that Miami even recruited or hosted.

King took one visit (Bama) because it was a done deal before he even entered the portal.
Welp.

Miami #10 with 15 portal commits and UCF #22 with 27 (an army of mid) portal commits. LOL. Gus Malzone is REALLY doing it. Year #4 and developing nobody.

UCF highest ranked transfer is a dude that has chronic shoulder issues (since high school), had shoulder surgery last year and has not practiced again. Also, off the field issues. Welp. Keep flexing on air tho.

You keep spamming all these threads about next season. I guess “next year” mentality is about all Miami has in sports these days. UCF is still playing postseason sports this 2023-24 season.

Go outside and touch some grass for a few weeks.

Miami also had outgoing 28 transfers with 20 going to P4 schools.

Welp.

Lol. We upgraded every single player that left. Every single one. One dude went to Georgia and all the others to lower level schools like SMU, UCF and places like that.

Miami is at 85 scholarships.

Lol. UCF scored zero 2nd half points against GT and was ROUTED.

Three months is this year…2024.

Where Miami football offensive transfers ranked as recruits

"Martinez is the only one of the five who has transferred once."

"Brown was the only one of the five who was a four-star signee per the 247Sports rankings. The 247Sports composite rankings had Brown as a three-star prospect. Carpenter, Martinez and Poffenbarger were consensus three-star signees. Ward wasn't ranked."

"After being the 600th-ranked prospect in the 2022 class, Martinez ..."

"Carpenter signed with Michigan in the 2019 class as the 547th ranked prospect...

Lol. High school rankings are irrelevant for transfers. That’s why there’s a TRANSFER RANKING. The high school rank is revelant for that year only. Anyone that knows college ball knows that.

Malzone has brought in quite a few FORMER 5* to UCF and all were a bust. Welp.

Miami’s transfer class (15 guys) ranked #10. UCF with an army of mid transfers (27 of them) ranked #22. Do the math! Not the colley math btw, but the real math.

Lmao. You UCF nerds blew a 35-7 lead against Baylor (at home).
Still no where as bad as simply having to take a knee to win the game and blowing it (at home)!

The fact that Miami fans were not calling for your coaches head is embarrassing and shows how much you do not know!!!

Getting shut out by GT in the second half of the bowl? Getting beat at home by 3-7 Navy and losing control of the AAC race?! There’s this…LOL.

Typical Miami response to bring something up from the past because that is all you have to hold on to. You have been irrelevant for over two decades.

Since you want to go back to 2022…#25 Hurricanes lose to the mighty Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders 45-21 (at home) en route to a stellar 5-7 record….I could not find the results of their bowl game that season…can you help me out on that one?

Lmao. GT was last year and Navy was in 2022. Baylor was last year as well. Boys went 6-7…3-7 vs P5.

UCF was destroyed by GT in a bowl in 2023 and by Duke in a bowl in 2022. Welp.

C’mon I expect more from you. Miami went 7-6 last year and were 4-6 vs P5….I know that is an improvement from the previous year of 5-7 and 3-6 vs P5 but nothing to hang your hat on.

As far as bowls go…..Rutgers (23), no bowl (21 & 22), Okie St (20), La Tech (19), Wisconsin (17 & 18) all say hello!

UCF got CURB STOMPED 51-22 by a mediocre Kansas team. Kansas ran for 400 yards. Lol. Thing is…UCF had a better team last year than what Gus Malzone will throw out for 2024.

Another typical response from you. You cherry pick a singular stat from an entire season and that is fine. Yea we had a terrible rush defense last year, that is not anything new. We also held one of the nations top rushers to 25 yards when we curb stomped the #15 team in the nation. Anomalies happen for the good and the bad.

What is not an anomaly is your team’s ineptitude to translate top talent into success on the field. So while you are talking on field performances would you care to share any insight into the Hurricanes on field performance in 2023? We have yet to see any of that included in your hundreds of posts.

Welp…We’ll wait…

And as far as 2024 goes in terms of your opinion, no one cares. You have probably picked Miami to win the ACC and National Championship for 2 decades and we know how those opinions panned out!

A single season where UCF went 3-7 vs P5. The last ten years UCF has a LOSING record vs P5 and a LOSING record vs the ACC.

Gus Malzone is 3-7 in bowls and has NEVER won a NY6 bowl. He’s 1-2 in bowls at UCF with a win against a UF team that had fired the entire coaching staff (a couple of coaches stayed on to coach the bowl).

Keep flexing on G5 wins.

Two days and this is the best you can come up with. You know who else has a losing record vs P5 over the last 10 yrs…The Miami Hurricanes.

And do you really want to talk about NY6 bowls? How many has Miami been to? Answer is 1. How many have they won? Answer is 0.

How many has UCF been to? Answer is 3. How many have they won? Answer is 2.

Malzahn 1 bowl win in 3 years at UCF matches Miami’s bowl win total over the past 17 YEARS! You have not won a meaningful bowl since 2004 (2 decades)!

But you keep flexing on all those recruiting rankings cause it is all you got!

Expected?

Regardless, eager to hear the spin on it.

He was enrolled in Miami, taking financial aid and participating in Summer workouts. Missouri contacted and offered more money.

Once a player is enrolled he’s no longer in the portal and the portal will not reopen until December. Missouri cannot offer him financial aid or a scholarship.

It’s up in the air.

He’d be a 3rd string DT here and he’ll be a big loss for Miami
Yes. I am sure. That’s why every team was running through huge gaps in that DL. UCF was almost dead last against run in all of FBS and #70 in sacks but the DTs are good according to you. Good? Good at what exactly? Lol.
