What it means is Gus is going to take a portal RB in this cycle to recoup losing Demarkcus Bowman to transfer. Gus likes to carry four experienced running backs on his roster and has only three, RJ, Johnny, and Myles at the moment. Sure, he has two incoming freshmen slated to join the team in the fall, but they aren't "experienced."
But I will also tell you this, again, UNEQUIVOCALLY...
Gus WILL NOT overpay for a RB.
It took all of three posts for me to conclude that this BozoCane guy is a trolling clown. His one and only reason to post anywhere but a Miami board is to have an excuse to belittle everyone other than the U...which has been an irrelevant football program for a couple decades now.
Whether a RB played or not is irrelevant. Malzahn depends on the running game, and he feels he needs an extra RB with experience in case something happens to one of the top 3 RB's. Not really that hard to comprehend for most people.
