So ... I'm going to cite ONE very specific thing from the first post in this thread that you so helpfully admitted to making.
So it's quite clear that Microsoft has not dumped Windows and is investing huge sums of money in Windows. It is also factual that Microsoft is not only continuing to support but also investing great sums of money in Windows on ARM chips (Windows 10 Mobile and Windows 10 IoT).
I patiently await you owning up to this error. Or more likely, somehow spinning it that I'm wrong or misconstruing your post even though it was quite clear.
Ummm, I've long recommended people put me on ignore so they don't start the circle-jerk of increasing the scrollbar 5-10x over in quoting and responding to me with 5-10x as many posts.
Ummm, dude, I was working excessive hours as a salaried employee my last few years. I resigned and was hired back as a consultant by the same companies I worked for. Now I get paid for the hours I work. It's just how the market is right now in my area, especially on some leading-edge technologies.
That I make one of these threads 1-2 times/year? Where I watch many of you backtrack and refuse to acknowledge what happened? Because I make longer posts than others? That for everyone one of those posts, there will be 5-10x as much response about me, derailing the subject?
You guys just love to jump on people. It's not always me, but others too. Why? To make yourself feel better? That someone "so horrible" like me exists?
Here's the thing ... how often do I make fun of people around here? How often to I go out of my way to insult people, tell them they are idiots and otherwise a menace to society? Now ... flipping to the real world, how often do I do that in-person either?

Like how? Joining many of you in making fun of others on this board? Backtracking and not being transparent, honest, etc...? I've owned up to everything I've done. But a lot of things get blamed on me I don't say, or what my season ticket holding partner has said. E.g., I never rag on the student-athletes after a bad play.
Same thing happens here on this thread. Someone else calls out someone, and I say, "okay, then let her say what she wants," and I'm blamed. You guys get so many circular references going. How does that help me? Or society?

That's funny ... people who know me say otherwise. But I guess I'm socially awkward, because I've always been the one to help, instead of insult, redicule and otherwise beat people who are "different" down. It's why some of my biggest critics will come to me and confide in me, because they know I won't make fun of them and otherwise keep what they say in confidence. That's how I've always been.
I'm re-reading through this and you've basically taken everything you can think of to insult me ... from my job to my life, trying to beat me down. All because (as far as the focus of this thread), I disagreed with several of you in a technology thread, just like why you should by tickets from UCF AA for the Fiesta Bowl prior, and then came back later to say, "For all those that called me an idiot and questioned my competence," several months later.
How am I a horrible person in comparison to the flak many of you give not only me, but many others here? Is it because you must sling it at me and others who seem "weird" to make yourselves feel better?
Actually, you didn't read a word I said, and totally missed the point of the prior thread. But, alas, everyone will excuse it as me writing too long.
The simple reality is ... Microsoft cannot get any key product compatibility with in its ARM implementations. This has been well documented, and it's why they abandoned much of their RT strategy, and are now focused on the post-Windows 10 world, the last version of Windows, to try to move off x86 for their "cash cow" of consumers. It explains the Surface 3 being x86 now (especially after the 90 day return rates on the original Surface, non-Pro, products), the resulting complete shift away from marketing the RT products and other things.
But ... you guys will read things what you will, and find ways to disagree with me, just like before, and call me an idiot and call my competence into question, just as you always do.

Because every year I do 1-2 of these threads? I completely respond to anything and everything? I even warn you guys what I'm going to do, and own up to what I'm doing. I also fully admit this thread, or the prior that spawned this "I told you so," isn't in the interest of UCF AA.
But last year, in the "crass" thread, it was clear several would not own up to calling me an idiot for suggesting people buy tickets through UCF AA, frame them, so they'd have them, as I suggested before the Fiesta Bowl. It was then really sad to see so many people complaining about not getting stubs via Ticketmaster and other avenues, if they bought them at all, when they could have supported UCF AA instead, and had ticket stubs to frame.
Because it doesn't matter what I suggest, I'm called an idiot, stupid, etc... It's not just about posting length, but so many things I say, regardless if they are true ... even when they are merely arguing to support the UCF AA and make the program better (part of the reason I gotta kudos off-board). So while, in the end, this "I told you so" over technology really doesn't matter, the "crass" thread had an argument that was a lot deeper. But human nature prevents many people from recognizing what they do, and keeps the focus on others, instead of themselves.
I have fully owned up to everything I do. And yet, the insinuations have continued in this thread about my employment, my mental state, how horrendous of a human being I am, etc... have continued. If you're trying to get me to break, like I did when I first joined the board back in 2007, keep trying. It's not going to happen anytime soon. Especially with many of you just insulting several of us as much as you do, and saying we're the ones with the problems and need professional help.

- No, it's crap for compatibility, and consumers are not accept it other than for incompatible phone/tablet, which is why you don't hear "RT" much any more
- Yes, Microsoft wants to make things cross-platform, and are trying to reverse their Win32/x86 "optimized" .NET strategy from 10 years ago
- No, they cannot get most of their core libraries, the ones their money making products use, to port and be compatible, which is why ARM is (once again) regulated to where compatibility isn't required
Which is why MIcrosoft is trying to "cut the cord" after Windows 10. They've long tried, and failed, to make ARM remotely compatible with their x86 product line. So yes, Windows 10 will exist for ARM. But no, it's not going to be any more compatible than before. Which is why they have very much decided to dump Windows after this next release, and move to a new codebase. To get consumers to shift. To get them on a new codebase that is cross-platform (at least one they think is).
I've seen this before, and I wonder if Windows 10 really will be their last, despite what they've stated. Win32/x86 compatibility seems to be the only way they make the money they do. And consumers have not accepted their options, which is why the RT strategy has been buried. It will be interesting to see. If you've developed for Mono, or actually dealt the GNU, or even Apple, you'd understand and see how bad it is in the Windows world from the standpoint of portability. Especially when you look at what Visual Studio produces, and have had to "re-port" the code to Mono.
