So, you can't win unless you have unreal talent. We have won with less than stellar talent. Are you saying the Miami coaches of the past 20 years have sucked, and by admission your football team. At the same time, in your own words, with mediocre talent, UCF has exceeded expectations. Thank you! Must be something in the foundation of the UCF program. GOL nuthugger till I die. You win by being the more physical team. You win by running the football. You win by not committing turnovers. You win by not committing stupid penalties. All the rest of it is bs. I don't honestly care if we score 50 or 17. Did we win? That is all that matters to me. If we play the best we can play, I got no problems with it. Do I love Gus? No. Do I think he has made some mistakes along the way? Yes. Do I think other coaches not named Saban make mistakes? Yes. Does Gus do things in game management that make me throw my hat at the TV and spit and curse, while foaming at the mouth? At least a couple times a season. Do some of those decisions turn up positive? Yes. He is a river boat gambler true and true to his core. I think he is a decent man, so I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt for another year or two.

Lobo, this isn't for you.
We aren't in CUSA anymore. We aren't AAC. The bottom line is we have arrived. Everything for the last quarter plus century (Cullpepper era) has been building for this moment. Say it out loud and then take a day or two to think about it. We are a power 5 program, scratch that, Power 3 program, in the heart of Florida, where the best of the best play every Friday night in high school. There is no reason for us to be a middle of the pack program in 3 years. I'm willing to give 2 free years to get us to the upper echelon of the Big 12, perceived talent gap. But if we are still middle of the pack after 3 seasons in the Big 12, its time to move on. Clock is ticking Gus! Hope you found somebody better than TC.

UCF is a top end job for anybody who wants to make a name in coaching. I'm not in love with Gus, but I don't despise him either. If Gus doesn't get it done in the next 2-3 years, we ask him to become an ambassador of the program (this is the door) and hire somebody else. If that fails, we replace the AD. Speaking of the AD, how is mens basketball, baseball and the rest of our programs?

“Buy the best players”. Lol. UCF literally did that with Walker…outbid UF, everyone else and bought the best prospect in their class. hOmEtOwN hErO.
Im just asking because I may not be informed. Does he have an NIL deal at UCF? If so, please let me know. That wasn't sarcasm. True question, not being bitchy.

Lobo, being a little snarky here:
But If I were him, Walker, I would have to evaluate the situation. In all honesty, and in your own words, doesn't he have a better shot at getting on the field earlier at UCF than at UF, FSU, or Miami. Or would a Freshmen DT be one of the 2 best DT at the U? Which would blow your whole theory about the U having better talent out of the water.

My point about Miami buying players was not a "shot" at your school. That is the way of the new college football world. I know Miami has some boosters with large pockets, full of cash. Truly, it was not negative, more jealous. Wishing I could win the powerball the next time it gets way up there.

That’s a great book you wrote Hendu. Mario is building the team the right way…from the trenches up. Seven 5* visiting this month…over 30 blue-chip players will take their OVs to Miami in June.

Unlike UCF fans, I know how championship teams are built. I have seen Miami win five national championships in football…three in person. I was nine years old when Miami won its first championship.

The weekend of June 2 is the slowest of the month and still very, very good. Mario is relentless and understands how important talent acquisition is.

June 2…composite rankings of five high school visitors: .9770, .9647, .9173, .8954, and .8858. Average composite rank: .9280

I agree with you, OL and DL and QB are where the game is won and lost. If you control the LOS you control the game. 100 yrs of football and that really hasn't changed. We agree on something. Something some of my younger brethren on this board don't ever really seem to understand. "Who is going to be the best nickel corner on the team?" I don't give a crap. Who is going to be the best LT means a hell of alot more. The big guys dictate how the game is played. If you can run the football, that is a whole lot easier than throwing it.

You were 9, I was like 6, 1982 right?

Great team. Not full of 5 stars, though recruriting services weren't what they are today. That first team, really any Miami team that ever suited up to play for the Natty. Tell me something. Were they more talented or more hungry. IMO, those dudes were more hungry than talented. And they were very talented. But they were raw, and god did I hate them for their antics on the field, but man than played possessed. I'm hoping to catch a little of that in a bottle here at UCF. Play like your hair is on fire. Especially on D.

I don't think you can compare teams from that era to this because of the rule changes. But the Miami D, back in the day, that was something special. I mean, you could put a list of the top Miami D players from 82 to 2005, you could put a starting lineup that would include nothing but pro bowlers and mostly hall of famers. You caught lightning in a bottle. In my mind I am putting together this defense. Sapp and Kennedy at DTs. LBs a plenty, DB's, umh, yeah I think you got that covered. How about DE's, can you give me some help there. Best dynasty ever! Even though I hated you guys!

Canes Legacy Titans is just salty because last time Miami was relevant he was in his 20s and good looking. And now he’s in his 50s longing for the Big East glory days. Obsessed with UCF and posting his own personal tweets to hype himself up.

Miami is always relevant. UCF, on the other hand, irrelevant. You still have not posted the visitors list for BH3. What are you scared of? What’s the problem?

When did I ever claim UCF was relevant, that Malzahn was a good coach, and that I cared about any visitor lists? Unfortunately for you, this is a UCF message board so UCF fans tend to post here whether or not fans of other teams whos last success was pre-9/11 think they are relevant or not. I'm interested to see how much time you spend on message boards of other teams that have recent superiority over Miami. Would we find you on a MTSU forum at all hours of the day posting quote tweets of yourself?

Mario is building a program. Malzon is gaslighting you very naive fans with bs. Question, is Herb Hand going to rap and do the worm again this weekend? Is so, is that the best UCF can do?

Bro, so you’re like 50 and you act like this? Just so we are clear, you are 50 years of age and you have this much time to waste?! This is even more sad than when I thought you were in your 30s living at home with your mommy. You’re clearly an asshole, but you’re 50(!) and don’t have anything better to do than troll another team on social media and a forum quote tweeting your own unhinged tweets, with no rivalry history between the teams? It’s just super sad bro.

I bet you have a UM tattoo of some sort.

Just imagine how big of an asshole he was in his 20s back when Miami was good.

Miami about to flip a 2024 QB committed to an SEC team?! That Miami LOGO carries a lot of weight 100%.

usf is on full tilt with a broken gas line type gaslighting right now though after the AAU thing. They think they a lock now to the Big10, as if things like athletic performance, TV viewership, fan engagement and overall brand recognition isn’t a factor.

The Bull Matrix guy (usf) and Lobocane (Miami sidewalk alumn) are both delusional psychopaths. Loved my whole life in FL and only ever met 1 Miami alumn (she was from Boston actually) and most usf alumns either don’t care/don’t follow sports or know they suck.

UCF hype machine in full effect. In lieu of “booms” they’ll say that UCF has silent commits. Just ask yourselves why are they silent if they are committed? A contradiction in terms? They are about to gaslight you people again. Wait for it.

What’s a UCF hype machine? Is there a lobotitanlegacy cane equivalent trolling hurricane forums. You know the 50 year old guy reminiscing about his glory days and trying to convince people his team hasn’t been dogshit for the better part of a quarter century by posting tweets of retweets from his own Twitter account.

Malzon in a video, full character costume on, play pretending to be an astronaut or is it a citronaut in this case? Next, is Hand rapping. For an encore…hitting recruits with pies in the face.

“UCF got silent commits”

Saddest part is this guy never even went to Miami, probably didn’t even go to college at all. So why the psychopath obsession at 50 yrs of age about a school he never stepped foot on? And the subsequent obsession about UCF who isn’t even remotely a rival of Miami? This guy belongs in a psych ward.

LOL. I earned a MSF from UM but go on kid. Let me know if there’s a Malzon “boom” (small firecracker sound). Not 50 yet btw since the lot of you appear to be very interested in my age (weird flex) 1.5 years away. Lmao.

Doubtful. You got GED/FIU vibes. You def didn’t go to Miami.

LOL. Dude with a worthless degree from a diploma mill and talking. You won’t even pay a few dollars a month for the premium service and just hang out in the free forums. Just say you are broke and move it along.

UCF selling degrees for $50 and a six pack of beer.

Just remember that the diploma mill has been your daddy for the last decade.
LOL. Miami is 2-0 vs UCF. Miami has a winning record vs every football program in this state. UCF has a losing record vs the ACC since joining the AAC.

You go ahead and make your claim Jeremy…you kids excel at claiming participation trophies.

And yet UCF has finished ranked 5 times since 2010. Miami has finished ranked 3 times. UCF has finished ranked top 10 twice over that period. Miami 0. UCF double digit wins 6 times. Miami 1. UCF conference champions 5 times. Miami 0. UCF 6 bowl wins. Miami 1. UCF 3 BCS/NY6 appearances. Miami 0. UCF finished ranked higher than Miami in S&P+, FPI, Sagarin about 70% of the seasons.

Quit reminiscing about your 20s. You are pushing 50 now. And MTSU has made you their bitch.

Just saw the entire official visitors list for BH3…overall a good group specially for a place like UCF.

Malzon needs to close on some of these dudes this weekend. They’ll be taking other officials after this and the high from an OV wears off quick.

From the 22 guys on OV, the only one that Miami is high on and actively recruiting is Fox the TE. He’ll be on OV to Miami the weekend of June 9th. I expect Fox to commit on July 4th to FSU…if not, it will be Miami (UCF third).

Where are the “booms” at? Malzon is running out of time. What are you reading in the dungeon Jeremy?

Dude is in full character costume taking pictures with the recruits. LOL..tf?

AL1 is also on-site- also with full character costume on.

As long as recruits like it, I’m ok with the corny photos and taking pics in rented cars. Top Golf is good for competition and team building type activities. I’m not expecting commitments this early but good first impressions and no wtf moments.

Who is responsible for planning the UCF recruiting events? He or she is failing miserably. Why would anyone think it would be a good idea to put an old head coach in a space costume and making that a theme for the most important recruiting weekend of the year? Jeremy?

It looks weird but I think if you are there it’s like hanging out with your cool Grampa that lets you drive in his lap and gives you candy all the time. Most kids don’t need to go to titty bars to have fun.

it is also the slowest time on and around campus
with most students home for a bit , but a lot of schools have the same situation for these early summer visits . I am sure some may go out at night that are old enough
