What type of fan and man are you bro? Making excuses for Malzon as if your life depended on it. It’s sad, pathetic and people like you get zero respect from me…none. Clown.

Malzahn is a good man and by good I don't mean he has done anything that qualifies him as good. By good I mean the Good Lord works through him.

Malzahn doesn't need me or anyone else to defend him. His reputation proceeds him. He has never had a losing season in his collegiate coaching career. He has guided the teams he has coached to four SEC championship game appearances. He has produced a Heisman trophey winner and Heisman trophey runner up. He has helped win a national championship. Four of the five college teams, UCF excepted, he has coached have won 10 games or more seven times, and he has taken all five to a conference championship game.

You spend all your time trying to boost up your program and coach's potential based on some random metrics about 17-24 years olds. All I have to say is what Gus has done.

History, in both cases, will repeat itself. Miami will fade into obscurity. Gus and UCF will continue a meteoric rise.

EDIT: Auburn is ranked above Miami on each transfer portal site ranking. Yet this is the first time I have mentioned it because it is of zero import.

I’m not big on Gus but as of now not enough to fire him. He probably gets 2 years in B12 to see if he can be competitive. Even if JRP stinks it up next year , Gus gets one more year to find a good QB. Although I’m not optimistic he’ll find a guy to run the high school offense without getting hurt.

Gus has done a lot of good things - some good wins and the talent is certainly improving. But we have also had some BAD losses and the QB situation we are in is criminal. Only thing that will change my mind is if JRP takes a huge step up this season.

He certainly CAN be the guy going forward and should be kept for the short-term if for nothing else than stability - but I am not sold that he’s the future.

Miami has not been recruiting top ten consistently…not even close. The only top ten class we had in half a decade was last year 2023. The 2021 class had some top talent and the 2022 class is also loaded with talented guys.
