The Current State of Florida Programs

For those of us who went to UCF in the 80s and early 90s this a sweet sweet moment. Here is some contrast . While UCF was playing the likes of Troy or Valdosta or Sanford , The U was winning national championships. Not one recruit today in Florida was alive in those days. Fast forward the U gets into the ACC and never wins the conference. UCF finally goes DI and after the MAC debacle UCF grows up, gets a stadium and advances in conferences .The U is stagnant and at best up and down. UCF wins conference championships, Miami struggles .

today UCF is going places Malzan is a great guy ,very much a people person and can recruit .We have all the ingredients. We have an on campus stadium, we are in a conference as good if not better than the ACC and we have a coaching staff that is on fire . So, yah the U has more national championships but now ,today , UCF is going places the U isn't .

Miami has been flatlining for years while our trajectory keeps going up. Blue bloods can no longer rest on their laurels. The face that smack talk has been reduced to us getting a loan to pay for our buyout is hilarious and just goes to show how people are triggered by us. I for one, love it.

The funny thing is UCF has 9/17 blue chips to Miamis 7/21. It’s really the first year ever UCF has been in a P5 league and coincidentally the first year UCF is out recruiting Miami. Which must be sad for Doh-bocane. Considering the Miami that out-recruited UCF also has consistently been the inferior team over the past decade. Usually the off-season is his time to shine before the reality of bowl-less seasons and getting skulldrug by Middle Tennessee State College occurs in the fall. But not this year. This year UCF recruiting is on par or better than Duh U. And yet he still comes back for his daily beatings.
