Yes, great fans…but look where the university is at? There nothing to do there. A quiet town that has ZERO professional sports teams. The money sports money goes to Nebraska.I think 247 Sports might've missed one. Selling out every home game in a 90,000 seat stadium for the last 63 years might be considered 'tradition-worthy'
If all the tickets are bought, what part of 'sold out' is debatable?
During the previous seven years of losing football, were there some Husker games against some no-name directional state schools where 250 to 600 tickets bought for youth groups? Yes. So what? We're talking about one of the bigger college football stadiums in the country.
Keep in mind, when this happened, we were talking about a sad-sack football team (can anyone here relate?) with a seven year-long losing season streak which plays inside a 90,000-seat stadium. UCF fans should be complimented for having the school's fifth consecutive sellout despite experiencing two losing seasons in a row. Face it, it's easy to support a big winner. Selling out stadiums when things don't look particularly rosey doesn't usually happen and when it does -- like the past two seasons at the Bounce House -- it should be celebrated.
