According to Bianchi's article there is a vocal minority of fans that want GOL and his staff gone. The hugger's are apparently out in droves attempting to dispel that rumor and point out that only three people on the kiddie board are blowing things out of proportion. To them the reality is unconditional love between UCF fans and their leader GOL.
 
GOL needs another year to lead this team to another winning season. I maybe frustrated but he's been here before and he or his heir apparent will lead us out again.

Couldn't you just have added to one of the other 30 posts on the same subject?

Are you a nuthugger or a UCF radical extremist?

Because that's 21 1/2 months ago. Not 5-10 years ago. We ENDED the season at # 10 and he deserves a little bit of a pass. Not a fair weather fan like yourself.
 
Go ahead and put a photo of all of the accomplishments of the UCF football program and put GOL's name on it. That is his legacy.

What is it that you people don't get? Last year was the season without Blake and Storm. Last year was the rebuilding year and our record with no P-5 wins reflects that.

THIS year we are supposed to be back. GOL has dug a hole, shoved us in it, and is now covering us with dirt.

It's really about attendance numbers and momentum. We can win all the conference US of American trophies we want, if we aren't building momentum for this program we are losing. GOL kills momentum.

From the end of 2012 to the Fiesta Bowl win, this was GOLs best chance to build momentum and he flopped. IF he succeeded then the momentum probably forces the Big 12 to invite us because we bring value to the table. If youre happy with the American alright but its obvious this program needs more money and they cant get in this conference.

I'd be happy along with the hardliners (huggers) if GOL led us to the Big 12 invite. Then i'll be more than happy to bask in one New Years Six appearance every 10 years and keep GOL forever - dead carcass and all. Unfortunately we're still stuck in the American and time is running out. GOL needs to go >>>>>
 
So, how does an unknown quantity like a new head coach help us get into the big 12. I hear lots of complaining but not really any reasons as to how a new coach
actually helps us. Btw, and i'll say this for like the 50th time, all that mstters is tv sets and the revenue you can generate for the conference...see rutgers and maryland.

Last year was not a rebuilding year. Had just Blake not left early that team probably goes at least 11-1 again...maybe we even go 12-0. We only lost 3 games as-is (and then lost the bowl game). Everybody knew this year was the rebuilding year.

This year we were supposed to be back? What program are you following?

No P5 wins last year? We lost both games by less than 10 points with a new QB. We are G5 and they are P5
 
Next year we will be better. He deserves a break of one rebuilding year after 3 good ones.

WRs. Gone
LBs. Gone
DBs. Gone (Jacoby Glenn was a surprise). Williams out with gunshot wound
DL. Miles Pace and Anderson Gone.
50% of DL is gone
OL. Grant now gone. Dickey sick or injured.

QB. Holman out 2-4 weeks at least.
RB. Wilson out. Taj needs time.

Bowless? We have made a bowl the last 3 years? I think you mean clueless.

We are 0-2 dude and Holman is coming back. So freaking negative. You call yourself a fan???
 
In 2013, all we had to do to go to a BCS bowl was to win the conference. GOL has proven that he can do that. Winning conference American over and over doesn't mean jack anymore. You've got to build an audience, momentum and win OOC games. Which means caring about winning OOC games and being a top 25 team every year.

He cares about OOC games. If he didn't, he would sit all the starters or not schedule them.

You keep repeating the same thing over and over and over. Other than Boise (maybe not even them), name me one G5 school that has been in the top
25 for 10 years in a row?? 5 years?

The answer is 0 or 1.

By the way, we have 2 top 25 in the past 5 years, including a top 10. Not bad.
