It's amazing how much people totally ignore what Ucfmikes and I are saying. We have openly complained about the playcalling, the FIU result (even before the additional injuries), etc... I even questioned if GoL was going a little senile with the "PAT/chipshot" comment.
But we are taking serious issue with those advocating abandoning the program ... as if that's a "boycott" that actually helps the program. It's far, far better to show up in force and complain about the leadership than to avoid it. It says a lot more! Especially since it tells future recruits the type of support we have for the program, even in down years.
But nah ... we'll just not show up ... like we didn't for Senior Day last year. Why? Because we didn't get the Fiesta Bowl berth again. Sigh ...
The "Garbage Men" are just an additional annoyance, one that makes the whole program look bad. But I've beaten that to death.
Well.., since he's not going anywhere, I'll see you at the USF home games until he's gone and let you know when we start winning again. It's OK bro. You can't handle losing and 0-3. I understand.

You cannot be a UCF supporter if you say anything in defense of GoL after any loss, let alone 3 in a row (4 if counting back to last year's bowl game), and definitely not after a FCS loss, even you too are complaining about the coaching.
It's literally everyone who was quiet through all those divisional and conference championships, as if 2012-2014 never happened, are now coming out and screaming, "See! See! We need to 'clean house'!". They've waited for 3 years, unable to say much, especially after 2013 as if we only had new blood, we'd be getting the top G5 bowl invite every year.
They feel totally justified in saying anything, and most won't even call the "Garbage Men" out either. But because we did ... they say we are GoL nuthuggers and didn't complain, and other things in stark contrast to reality.
The on-a-whim is back-in, and unless we are always winning, it's this. Damned are those of us that want to wait for a losing season to actually happen, and the Freshman not get better next year. The FCS loss was their wet dream, for which they feel is a justifiable firing.

The only thing I have "quit" on is GOL and Hitt.
GOL has done a lot for the University, but it's time to move on. Too bad it took this to make a good amount of people feel this way.

I was probably the last person to like Hitt in the '90s. But over time he earned my respect. I have no idea why you're now throwing Hitt into that basket.
Hitt earned a whole new level of respect from me in how he responded to our sanctions. He said we hold UCF to the highest standard, all while pointing out no players played at UCF, and no other university where the players did play are being investigated (including the Alma Mater of that alleged runner).
So I have no idea why you are against Hitt ... other than because of GoL. That's pretty narrowminded, considering Hitt spends at least 90% of his time not doing Athletics. But I guess that's how "guilt by association" works.
You mean 3 conference championships and 10-win seasons, plus at least another divisional championship, in the last 5 years doesn't matter?

Seriously guys ... there aren't many other G5 programs that have done what we have gone. Boise State has been doing it just as long as we've been playing FBS. Most other programs who have done we have done, let alone not even close to what Boise has done, have already gotten P5 invites. A lot of that was due to fanbase support and TV market, beyond the field.
But if you want to advocate bringing down attendance to "help" (NOT!) our program, don't know what to tell you. Yes, we could get better with a "clean slate." And we could also have off-the-field issues, as well as no better results on-the-field ... especially not compared to what we very much have accomplished the last 5 years.
I mean ... really guys. Look at that record. Statistically, it's very, very difficult to do in G5.

How is this any different than the problem with Senior Day last year? Or the 2010 Conference Championship and the Georgia win in the Liberty Bowl?
So ... does it have anything to do with GoL? What happens when the new coach comes in and causes another 1-2 seasons of recruiting? Especially if some of our recruits leave because people like you get GoL canned and removed from the program altogether (not even AD)?
Ummm ... the last 3 years are pretty recent, especially the last 2 conference championships.
It'll be interesting if all the Freshmen playing this year lead to even greater results next year. What would you do if we won the American Conference Championship next year, and had 3 conference titles in between 4 years?
Do you see what you're doing, and others are doing, just 3 games in?
All I'm advocating is that people stop coming out and wanting to change the program after 3 games, ignoring the last 3 years let alone 4 of the last 5. I can count the number of G5 programs on one hand that even came close to what we did, and only 1 that has repeatedly done it far more times.

Every program has low points. Florida lost to a not-so-good Georgia Southern 2 years ago. USF got pounded by a FCS too. I hate the fact that we lost to Furman, that doesn't undo the last 3 years. I'll let at least this season, and the start of next season, dictate if I think the program should change.
Otherwise we'll be replacing coaches annually.
Losing to FIU and Furman at home nullifies the Fiesta Bowl. That's ancient history, now. GOL must go. He better not be AD, either.
