In case you don't recall, Temple was high-flying at the time after beating two of the best teams in the nation and was defending conference champion. UCF, on the other hand, had been embarrassed by Penn and GW because we lacked a point guard. Dawkin's decided to start former grad assistant Nate Lainge and that righted the ship. He played 26 minutes against Temple. Although A.J. had one of his many bad shooting nights (1-6), UCF led 38-11 at the half, the schools outrageous blowout against then 9-5 Temple. We only shot 42% but did it with defense and a 20 rebound edge (51-31). The 24 point margin of victory was our largest ever in the AAC.

That's not going to occur Wednesday at Temple, which lost to UConn in the final 2 seconds on Sunday. Temple's top forward go into foul trouble early and hardly saw the court. Teams were's swarming Tacko (who when 6-7, 17 pts) back then either. It's going to be a battle.
