Malzahn could not close on McCall. You think he has a chance with Jefferson? LOL.
Lobo, despite being an idiot, you do have enough sense to comprehend what I am telling these people.
EDIT: I stand corrected. You really are an idiot.
KJ Jefferson has been interested in transferring for a while now. There were rumors of Jefferson entering the portal as soon as it opened.
Jefferson has been in touch with Kendal Briles since Sam Pittman fired Dan Enos at midseason. The two have kept in touch with each other since Briles left for TCU.
(As an aside, the reason Briles is at TCU is because his agent Jimmy Sexton kept whoring Briles out to every program (Miami included) that would entertain and make Arkansas match the offer until Pittman told Briles to "Go f--- himself" after the latest flirtation with TCU)
Back to topic at hand...
Had Jefferson remained at Arkansas, he would have been playing under a new offensive coordinator (Petrino) and in a new system for the third time in as many years. (His fourth OC if you include the interim who took over for Enos.)
Anyway, all of these teams (UCF, Miami, Miss State, South Carolina, etc.) are all smokescreens Jefferson will use to drive up his NIL value. Regardless, Jefferson IS going to TCU to reunite with Briles, who was his OC for three years. It is a foregone conclusion and has been a done deal for quite some time.
(Keep in mind it is a dead period in the NCAA calendar so Jefferson cannot visit any schools until Jan. 12, and these people think he is going to commit to a program that he is unfamiliar with.)
What I
cannot explain is how Arkansas caught wind of Jefferson's transfer. I am *assuming* he confided in a teammate who betrayed his trust and told the coaching staff of Jefferson's plans to transfer. But that is just a wild guess on my part.
@Shark19 thinks Petrino kicked Jefferson, a top 5 PFF QB, off the team "to get younger" with Boise State's Taylen Green. I don't even know how to respond to that.
All I can do is tell these people what is going to happen, why it is going to happen, and *presumptively* how it is going to happen.
EDIT: TCU 2022 and 2023 starting quarterback Chandler Morris just entered the transfer portal. WHAT A COINCIDENCE!!!
