Vegas opens at -1 Gators vs UCF.

Genuinely curious why Vegas regularly favors us in games we have no business being favored in or why they give us unrealistic spreads the last few years. We're being used for free money or someone out there has black and gold goggles.

I don't understand it also. Why UCF was favored by 14 points against Colorado was beyond me as well.

Maybe to entice us to bet? I think UCF loses by multiple touchdowns against the gators. But, I wouldn't take that bet either!

Yabut....they preparing for KJ...

Gators Face Familiar Foe at Quarterback vs. UCF

When the Florida Gators take the field against UCF, they'll have to stop a familiar face at quarterback that got the best of them a year ago.

With Arkansas, Jefferson went 20-for-31 with 255 yards, two touchdowns and an interception while adding 92 yards and a score on the ground in a 39-36 overtime win over the Gators. Napier and his staff are using that performance from a year ago to prepare from a year ago, even though it's two different offensive systems that Jefferson is playing under.

now says
UCF -3.

What the heck? Are the gators that bad or is Vegas that bad at placing odds?

UCF favored by 3 points now. A 4 point swing. Any gambling experts out there? Does that mean money is being bet on UCF or the gators to make it swing like that?

Gators are that bad but UCF was as high as -14.5 vs Colorado and got blown out at Home. Gus hasn’t been good ATS but he has beat a skeleton Gators coaching staff before.

I hate the Gators but it sucks that the matchup is happening when both Programs are at best mediocre.

Malzahn tends to win games that he shouldn't and gets blown out in games he should.

It makes you wonder if he just doesn't prep equally for every game.

He has $20+ million in buyout money to not feel like he has to be laser focused every week or during the holidays leading up to a bowl game.

It means people are betting UCF. Points are shifting to UF as Vegas tries to move $ over to the Gators.

I'll take the cash.

The spread has nothing to do with Vegas predicting the outcome. It’s the betters that make the lines. If money comes in on both sides it stays the same. If it goes more negative it’s because money was pouring in on us and they want money on on UF too.

Malzone is standing on the edge of the abyss. It’s there for the taking if UF has any pulse left. If Billy loses, he’s fired within a week. If Malzone loses, he loses the fans and the donors.

Who will remain standing? Billy or Malzone?

During a game the point spread changes from play to play. There must be a ton of game time betting as it will shift back and forth depending which team as the momentum and lead. It's been interesting to watch it change real time.

I lost a buck as I thought UCF could come back in the 3rd quarter and win against colorado. I wasn't sure, just wanted to make it interesting...I of course lost that dollar. I placed the bet in the stadium on my app.

I'm still getting use to being able to legally sports gamble. It's interesting to me but I'm careful to not get too foolhardy with it as the house always wins!

With Pete Rose passing away yesterday it kind of brings up the subject of players/coaches/refs being able to place bets as easy as I do on the outcome of the game. I hope nobody does that but it's been done in the past. It's interesting on how accepted sport's gambling is nowadays. It's in all the advertising now. Sin city has come to the smart phone. :p

With that said, it makes me want to put a buck on the gators to win. Just to curse the gators. I typically lose all my bets and haven't figured it out yet. Just noticed I lose more than I win.

The line this week tells me there are more Gator fans taking UCF than there are Knight fans taking Florida and the points. :)

Seminole gaming app stays at UCF -3. I put a buck for the gators straight up with no points. I don't see how UCF is going to beat the gators. And, if they do, I lose a buck...big whoop.

ESPN Predictor has Gators winning 51.6 percent and their espn bet says gators -1.

UF locker room has to be a mess given the coach is out the door, players likely looking for next school. If Malzahn can't take advantage of that, then he should be out the door.

Yeah but how is our locker room after all of that Travis Hunter admiration?
