What do Tom Herman, Scott Frost and Willie Taggart have in common?

They were all having great runs at their AAC program, and then gave that up to struggle....but make some mad bank? Really can't judge Frost yet, though, because he needs at least a two year track record. The other fairly obvious observation is that winning is tough, and when you are rolling some where you should ride it out. The money is still going to be there. Just ask Chris Peterson. In fact, by continuing to win at their "2nd rate" AAC program they might parlay that into a 7 or 8 million/yr contract.

They got paid Can’t really blame them for that. However, they may all tarnish whatever legacy their could have had if that’s important to them.
Frost has the most risk/reward

I mean Frost was this close to a statue
If he fails, he losss his status as the Golden Boy at at NGEbraska. Yes he does People forget about what you did in the past. Look at Steve Spurrier. He’s known more for being a coach than his Heisman. If he failed at UF as a coach, the Heisman year would have been tarnished

Look at GOL. He wouldn’t have been nearly as criticized if he retired in 2014

As far as Frost at UCF, he left too soon.

Agree on all

The only way he gets a statue in Lincoln is if he coaches for 20+ years and is thought of as a good man. Wins are a part of it, but representing the culture is the key.

That’s why if a winning AAC coach leaves it should be for a top 10 program with a huge check where you never need to work again. The AAC should be their 2nd to last coaching job. Charlie, Mike, Ken, Josh are you listening?

Taggart is the only one that I would put up a heavy sum on being a complete bust.

like HH said at least Herman and Frost won their conference at least once. Herman also had a Peach Bowl win over Florida State & a couple OOC top 15 wins vs Louisville & Oklahoma. Texas is not going as expected yet but still think he has a shot to get it right there.

Frost is too early to tell, I think he's a good coach but his one weakness may be stubbornness & too much loyalty to his staff. We saw Chins start to struggle & eventually he's going to have to make a decision there. But Nebraska might be a place that's a black hole in modern college football & maybe Frost can't even fix it. Frost at USC, Texas, or UCLA? Home run. Nebraska..it could turn into a perfect story or a career regret.

Matt Rhule gave five years to Temple. The Baylor job was the best he could fine before being relegated to a top assistant.

Frost left too early but he's given the Big 10 network the program content they need apparently. Maybe they should've given another coach a chance first but I can't help but think cornfumbler fans want them all to fail - Frost was their chosen all along

Troy is a quality loss. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah. Just when I was disappointed that UCF didn't have a game, 'ol what's his name makes me happy. Thank God we got rid of him. Hahahahahahh. (only partly serious, but don't want any of the ex-UCF players as UCF coaches until they get much, much, much more experience!)

That’s just silly. Mike Riley was a good man and created a good culture but he didn’t win. If a coach is at a school for 20 years it’s bc he won and has won big. 8-10 win seasons with out winning the big one make a fan base want for more. You guys should know that with Bo.
