How I miss BJ Taylor

We've had some good point guards at UCF, BJ being the last one. Since his last season, 2018-2019, we're into our 3rd season with disappointing PG play. It's not only unacceptable, but Coach Dawkins was also a guard and should recognize it's time for a change. Since 18-19, our point guard position has been handed to a transfer from another school. In 18-19, if I recall, Taylor was main man at PG, with Junior Terrell Allen backing him up. (Why Allen left, I don't know). Dazon Ingram (Alabama) and Darius Perry (Louisville) followed Taylor. Backups, I think, have been Tony Johnson and Darius Johnson.
Now I get that PG is an important, pivotal position. You want a floor leader who won't turn the ball over, find the open man, drive the lane, and, in my opinion, lastly score. If your scoring guards aren't getting the ball from the PG often enough, they're gonna start pointing fingers. Taking off balance hero shots to enhance your NBA value doesn't seem to be team play to me. Discounting or disregarding the younger PG prospects in favor of mediocre transfer sends a bad message.
So if I see this, why can't Johnny (who I admire) see this? At what point does he turn to home grown point guard talent? I know the backup quarterback is usually the most popular player, but he recruited Darius Johnson. At this point, start the freshman Johnson at PG. I'm done with Perry.

Big 12 Stadiums broken down by grass or turf fields

With some past UCF road games on turf...some games it looked like some defenders were sliding on skates (like at SMU) and/or some offensive players couldn't get a good grip to cut.

Here's a look at home most of UCF's road games in the Big 12 will be played on the fake stuff.

Iowa State: Grass

Lee Hunter, a defensive tackle who was the highest-rated recruit in Auburn's 2021 recruiting class, announced Thursday he is transferring to UCF.

Hunter, who graduated from Blount High School in Mobile, Ala., reunites with former Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn whom he initially committed to in December 2019. Rated the nation's No. 121 overall prospect, No. 11 defensive tackle and No. 4 player in Alabama, Hunter also had offers from Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, LSU and many others coming out of high school.

As a senior, Hunter tallied 54 tackles, 20 TFL and 4.5 sacks on his way to first team All-State and an invitation to the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game.

The 6-foot-4-321 pounder redshirted this past season under new Auburn head coach Bryan Harsin and will have all four seasons of eligibility remaining.

Hunter is a massive addition for the future of the Knights' defensive line with the potential to become an immediate impact player. Hunter joins fellow Auburn teammate Kobe Hudson in UCF's 2022 transfer class. Hudson was Auburn's No. 1 receiver this past season.

UCF's transfer class currently stands at nine players, all of whom are enrolled this spring:

OT Tylan Grable (Jacksonville State)
LB K.D. McDaniel (Kentucky)
LB Terrence Lewis (Maryland)
DB Koby Perry (Austin Peay)
QB John Rhys Plumlee (Ole Miss)
OT Ryan Swoboda (Virginia)
WR Kobe Hudson (Auburn)
TE Kemore Gamble (Florida)
DT Lee Hunter (Auburn)
