CU = Not So Classy Fans

Taken from the TCU = Classy Fans thread:
We were in College Station for the weekend visiting our daughter and after the game we were getting out of our vehicle at the Airbnb and there was a group of about 10 walking down the sidewalk towards Northgate (bar district) when one of them saw my UCF shirt, he yelled Hey! Go frogs, F**k UCF! My wife said very classy! and I just smiled. He started towards us with his friends "holding him back." I just started laughing and told them to have a great evening. Cooler heads in the group moved him on down the street. Guess there's always one, lol.
Yep. You can say that about any fanbase. What defines the worst from the best is how the vast majority of them act.

This feels like a good segway to a discussion about the guests you'll be welcoming to the Bounce House in a couple of weeks. The stories opposing fans could tell you about Colorado fans are legendary. They are consistently hailed as one of THE WORST fanbases in all of CFB.

Enjoy their visit!

UCF 2025 Road Trips? Quick look at next year's schedule

In 2025, UCF will have 5 conf road games and only 4 conf home games with 3 non-conf home games to finish thr slate.

Dates known are:

Thur, Aug 28th: JACKSONVILLE ST

Sat, Sept 6th: NORTH CAROLINA A&T (Parents Weekend)

Sept 20th: NORTH CAROLINA

Odds are, UCF will hit the road for a Sept 13th Conf Road game. (Could even be a Fri night conf road game since UCF is coming off an easy home opponent the week before).

5 conf roads games (no dates) will be:
at Baylor
at BYU
at Cinncinati
at Kansas St
at Texas Tech

How many of you will HAVE to go to the Baylor game? (No need to tell us why, we know).

BYU game if in Nov...could be a weather game...and if the Texas Tech game is Sept 13th...that coukd be another HOT one.

I could see UCF ending the season on the road over Thanksgiving Weekend...unless UCF asks for a Black Friday home game (maybe vs WVU).

Note: 4 conf home games will be:
HOUSTON
OKLAHOMA STATE
KANSAS
WEST VIRGINIA

TCU fans tailgating

Was pretty disappointing overall. Yes it was hot, but come on… it’s a team from Texas and the opponent was from Florida… both sides are used to some hot games.

My group of 5 started at their main strip of bars to watch the early game and then proceeded to grab a cooler and walk around campus to see what it looked like as I do at most road games. I was honestly shocked. Very few tailgates across the campus anywhere. What I did like was close to the stadium we talked to a few fans and they said in specific lots you’re allowed to leave supplies in a tool chest during football season so when you show up, you’re usually just plugging in a TV and bringing your food. Some of The tailgate spots near the stadium had cover, built in fans, built coolers and even grills! Nice setup! WITH THAT SAID… The lot closest to the stadium was EMPTY 90 minutes before the game… legit 3-4 cars in the entire lot. Blew my mind!

TCU Fans: Better late than never?

My tailgating and game day experiences are vast and deep. I have been to UCF games home and away since the late 1980s. Based on the experiences that I have had the Citrus Bowl, the Bounce House and stadiums in far flung locations like Tempe and Boise, what I discovered in Ft. Worth was unexpected. What I found was an affable group of people who will show up, but not ahead of time.
